Wow dude Maybe I didn't understand him, or maybe it wasn't him, but someone made fun of me and someone else for having our kids in our sigs. I thought it was him that did, but maybe it was him that was also made fun of.

If Jim Hendry gets another year then Ricketts could be just as big of a problem and we could be in big trouble.

BBTN already did a segment in which Ted Lilly is considered a July 31st acquisition for some team. And I hope Lee, ARam, Lilly, and maybe Fukudome are all gone come July 31st. I don't want Fukudome gone, but I want the Cubs to get younger. I'd like to add Theriot to that list, if a contender wants him. I'm kind of with you on Fukudome. I'd like to see the Cubs younger, but I don't really want to see him gone. On a side note, I can totally see a Zambrano blowup from hell where he asks to be dealt between now and the deadline happening as well. Although, I have my doubts that he's even tradeable right now. He's tradeable in the same way Sosa was after we ran his value down so low by running off about what a cancer he was. I imagine we will get a Mike Fontenot type back for him. Fun times.

Maybe, but it is gonna be hard to move much and it's unlikely Jim is gonna be the one selling. This is his shot to save his job. Who says Hendry will have a say if the Cubs do decide to sell? For that matter, who's to say he will even be a part of the organization before July? I imagine he's gonna get this whole year so Ricketts can really set up a search to find who he wants to take over. That also makes me think that Jim's gonna get this year to do what he can to save his job. That's what scares the hell out of me.

Seriously? Yep. So you'd be OK with Hill at the plate in that spot? Or Aramis? Or Baker? Or Nady? And so on. Not Hill, but those other guys in that spot yes. Theriot only hits lazy flyballs when no one is on base.

Threatening the Cards? It's only May. The Cards choked against the Astros and Phillies, we all know they have offensive problems but the bullpen and the SP(aside from Lohse) has been good. Relax. You guys might be the best team ever constructed. No one will ever "challenge" you. And even if they did your manager and team would be able to point out how they cheated or were too disrespectful in doing so. You do have a point, I went a little over board with saying that. I haven't felt this optimistic about a Cards team since 2004/2005. I do realize McGwire cheated and I recognize that. But you could say that about any team in baseball and how one player cheated. I'm talking more about LaRussa being so quick to say we are stealing signs how else could Sosa hit Matt Morris, the Reds are doctoring their baseballs how else could Chris Carpenter get hit around, Milwaukee is untucking their shirts after wins we don't do stuff like that, the mean Carlos Lee is getting too mad when he gets out doesn't he realize that Chris Carpenter is the greatest pitcher who ever lived. That type of stuff. Not about how your team employed a huge cheater and still does in Ryan Franklin. -

Even tho Saban has told Starling he could play baseball at Bama, I think Bubba keeping Bama in his Top 4 is nothing more then for show. I imagine we will be drafting Bubba in 4 years, FWIW. -
Man, I am gonna be unhappy if we miss out on Shaw or Davis because of Uthoff. if shaw wants to play for illinois, he'll commit quickly. That's what I think as well. All of his buddies, sans Wayne, are here. Not sure what he's waiting for.

Am I the only one who still wants Shaw more than Davis? Nope, Shaw's been my #1 target from the second the '11 class talk started up. Yeah I really love Shaw's game.
