  1. No, it isn't. Softball won the conference just this past year and in 1997. And won the conference tournament in 09 and 97. And men's hoops won the tournament a few years back. That might be it though in the Big 12. Does the big 12 count the tournament or the regular season though?
  2. Lol at having to tell us it would be huge to get the top recruit in the nation two years in a row. Please explain why, lol.
  3. what sort of "shot" are you thinking of? Steroids, I hope.
  4. Yeah if Cal got him, it might have been panic time.
  5. Like they did in the Big 12. Seriously though, for all the crap KU fans give Mizzou fans around here, this makes me smile. Who got invited to the big boy conference?
  6. With Battle they were more fun to watch.
  7. No it doesn't, because Woodbury didn't play in it either. He lives 5 hours away. I'm assuming he will be now. Either way congrats on the great pick up.
  8. Ah if only we could produce the type of talent that Penn St. was bringing in.
  9. Ricky Davis grew up in Iowa. The best NBA player to ever come from Iowa is Kirk Hinrich Hater. Ricky was the truth. Stupid NBA with rules like you can't shoot at your own goal in order to get a triple double.
  10. Ricky Davis grew up in Iowa.
  11. It's a great get. Anytime you can fend of UNC to keep a kid at home it's reason to be excited. I like what Fran is doing in Iowa City a lot.
  12. How athletic is this guy? Leonard is a freaky athlete, which is why so many people are in love with him.
  13. Why? Because they rated an Iowa recruit higher than an Illinois recruit? Yeah, I see difference between them and Rivals all the time, but guess what, I see just as many differences between Rivals and Scout, too. None of them are perfect, and all of them either miss on guys by projecting too low or too high. You seem a bit testy that Iowa just got a really good player. I don't mind that at all, I actually took some classes at the University of Iowa and knew a lot of their players during the early part of the 00s. I don't hate Iowa at all. But, in general, most people don't value ESPNs rankings a whole lot.
  14. Who uses ESPN services though? They're awful.
  15. It makes sense because Leonard didn't play in it. As such he wouldn't be ranked as high as Woodbury. But anytime they've both been ranked Leonard has ranked higher. Also Leonard committed very early, UNC came after him though after he was committed. He also just played on our national team, he's always been very highly regarded. The only group I've wanted gone were last years seniors, sans DMac, and none of them were even 4 stars. I've wanted different kids to get a chance to play at certain times, but your story is so much funnier your way.
  16. Wow, second time in three years we get more games at wrigley than busch. After a decade straight of playing more there.
  17. Considering that silly recruit is rated higher, grades out the same, is taller and heavier, I'm not sure why Leonard would be laughing at him. Rated higher where exactly? Cause it ain't Rivals or Scout. The prime time league, lol.
  18. Considering that silly recruit is rated higher, grades out the same, is taller and heavier, I'm not sure why Leonard would be laughing at him. Leonard was a top 35 player, who has your guy rated that high? Rivals Leonard 31 Woodbury 42 Scout Leonard 5star Woodbury 4star Fail.
  19. I don't. He would have been decent, but couldn't create his own shot.
  20. Still love Jereme Richmonds game.
  21. Maybe Tony Mitchell will qualify by then. god i hope so He should have went to Kansas.
  22. I think the one guy thinks this is the scout board. Most of us here aren't Jeff Frank.
  23. So go all in for Hamilton?
  24. That's a weird leap. Maybe I am just reading this kid wrong, but it sure seems like he wants no part of our program. I don't really blame him either.
  25. I hope you are right, but I am starting to wonder. I am not sure at all that we understand roster construction. We have 2011 PG Tracy Abrams, 2012 PG Michael Orris, 2013 PG Jalen James, and we've offered 2014 PG Larry Austin. You don't need that many point guards on one roster, especially when you have guys like Bertrand and Head who can play it if necessary.
