I'm aware he's at 267 just trying to say that's probably the main reason he's sticking around. it's not Thanks Jamie, glad you could stop by. look, he's pitched in philly (where i lived close to) for 5 years when he was at an advanced age, and he said in interviews that he didn't care about benchmarks but kept playing because he enjoyed it and felt like he had something to offer the phillies. you can choose not to believe him, but considering that he'd likely have to be a starting pitcher for at least 3 more seasons to reach 300 wins, i'd say he's just doing it because he still likes to play. Albert Pujols said all last year, 2010, saying it wasn't about the money. It was about winning. Then he leaves the team that wins the title for more money. So forgive me if I don't believe anything that an athlete says when speaking to the press.
