  1. He's a terrible shooter.
  2. I really hope Hummel gets drafted. He's apparently being linked to the Jazz over the last couple days. He might be a guy better off not getting drafted and then being able to pick a team he would fit with. Like the spurs.
  3. So the guy who wants to take a flier on every single retread ever, wouldn't have signed a young Angel Guzman. Makes sense.
  4. I do think we need Ned Coletti to get in on this. Ayone know if there is a Carlos Santana he feels like giving away, again?
  5. I for one am excited that now, not just two SEC teams will get to play for the title.
  6. It's so obvious. He can't help himself. I love you though Michael, thanks for the 6 titles. My teams only 6 titles.
  7. Meyers Leonard is the guy I think with the most upside in this draft. That said he could easily bust too.
  8. Damn, no futures game.
  9. The only thing I hate about LeBron is that I think he would have done this in Cleveland and everyone would have been cheering for him. Actually I don't even hate that. I just think it is sad he didn't get one for his hometown.
  10. let the hype begin. Begin? I think there were a lot of us who were considering putting him top 10 last year. Of course that was more an indictment of the farm and a guy who had plate discipline in farm filled with free swingers. I stand by yesterday's comment, as far as position prospects go the Cub's farm can compete with any other team. I need someone with far more knowledge on this to help me out here. How excited should I be now about this guy? I want to be fired up.
  11. Yeah I've always really liked Mike Miller's game. I think that might have been it for him last night as he is pretty beat up physically. If so, what a way to go.
  12. I still really kind of like LeBron's game a lot. I cannot stand Wade though. He's just so unlikeable.
  13. The same Josh Vitters who has 11 homers in 250 at bats at AAA? That guy? Yeah, the same Josh Vitters who has no plate discipline, 12 errors and up until last night hasn't posted an OPS of 800 or better since his stint in Peoria. Yep, that guy. You're the guy or girl who decided to use homers as the stat we should look at not me. So that's what I went with. That being said, he's been young at every level and promoted way too fast. And I hope you don't think that Baez is any better in the field than Vitters at this point.
  14. The same Josh Vitters who has 11 homers in 250 at bats at AAA? That guy? I understand the point you're making, but it's safe to say most of us will be pretty disappointed of Baez actually ended up like Vitters. I think he's a significantly better talent than him, though, so I'm not really worried about that. Yes we would be, but it is still too early to write off Vitters at this point. I still think there is a chance he ends up being a decent big leaguer.

  16. http://www.sbnation.com/nba/2012/6/21/3109494/dan-gilbert-cleveland-cavaliers-lebron-james-miami-heat Holy crap, dude has lost it. "I PERSONALLY GUARANTEE THAT THE CLEVELAND CAVALIERS WILL WIN AN NBA CHAMPIONSHIP BEFORE THE SELF-TITLED FORMER ‘KING’ WINS HIS SECOND" Yeah ok. Maybe if you didn't get him Antwan Jamison, Delonte West, Larry Hughes and Mo Williams he would of stayed. Oh come on. sure is hard to believe no one wanted to sign up to spend time in Cleveland when Lebron want locked up long term.
  17. that's awesome...was it hard to get tickets to each of the events? I really want to go to an All Star game at some point in my life, although I hear it's rather boring. For the futures game I paid 45 dollars a ticket and i'm ten rows deep. Its a bit pricey, but not terrible.
  18. The US rotation is sick. Barnes, Bauer, Bundy, Cole, Hultzen, Meyer, Odorizzi, Taillon, Walker and Wheeler. Yeah I am fired up for that. I am an autograph collector, yeah dork I know, and can't wait to knock some of these guys out. i really hate a couple of the guys that do this at sounds games since they are typically in my way when i'm in my seat (i always sit by the visitors bullpen) At the big league level I graph before the game starts when the players arrive at the stadium. At the minors I went the other day and got a ticket right by where I knew I could get Baez right away. Took me two seconds and then I was sitting. The only thing I can't stand are the guys who do it who clearly aren't showering. Well that and the guys who try to catch bp balls that guys are trying to give to my kids. The players usually yell at them though.
  19. I saw Baez in person on Sunday, thanks free fathers day promo. Good lord does he have some quick hands.

  21. Ill be at this, looking forward to it. Man they didn't pick a very interesting cub though.
  22. HOW EXCITING Corey Patterson with less power! And less speed, but a hell of a lot better hit tool.
  23. Haha...good stuff. I hope Peanut will do some Bears postgame when he's retired. Good lord, that's amazing.
  24. In 9 innings Yeah, there was a game back in the 20s where both pitchers pitched 26 inning complete games, and both game scores were in the 140s. What did Haddix have as his score?
