  1. Yes, I know you've done that, so you can then go out and whine about unfair treatment of the Saints and then fall back to your "but look I said they were wrong before" nonsense. yes, those posts were all part of a master plan cultivated by me over a month in advance for a spot just like this! or...it could be that I think they violated the rules of the NFL and deserved to get punished as an organization, but that I think the punishment and the outrageous outrage of some people is excessive
  2. so it begins... http://4.bp.blogspot.com/_f6dbhdVRcig/SMfO3Jf2qCI/AAAAAAAAAIw/_Dp9IniCBq0/s400/theoden_at_helms_deep.jpg
  3. oblivious to what? that the team did something wrong. got caught. were told to stop. didn't. got caught again. lied. got punished for it. what am I or Saints fans oblivious to? the fact that they did something wrong and deserve the punishment they got wait wha... I've admitted multiple times on here that what they did was wrong. I just freaking did it in the post you quoted. I was the first person to post about it in this thread and said that I'm apparently "now a fan of a dirty team. Very disappointing." I think Payton's suspension was excessive but I've absolutely never said the organization shouldn't get punished or that they didn't do anything wrong. They broke the rules. They deserved to get punished.

  5. love Murray getting cut off in mid sentence
  6. haha, what?
  7. Except nobody is making that argument so you "defending" against it is kind of stupid. There are posters on here who are acting as if Williams' statements were a real incitement to end someone's life. You labeled my statement that Williams' words were just vulgar hyperbole as "ridiculous", so I'm presuming by that response that you don't think his words were hyperbole, therefore you must think he wanted his players to literally kill Frank Gore.
  8. again, what am I denying? The only thing I've "defended" the Saints on is this idea that this is somehow unique and that the Saints are the most villainous super thugs ever in the NFL and would behead opposing players and put it on LiveLeak if they could.
  9. So you could play both sides of the argument and repost other statements after getting called out for you ridiculous defense of the Saints. lol, again, what am I denying here?
  10. trying to "get" someone's hand and trying to "kill" someone's head are two different things. again, it's hyperbole. distasteful, tacky, over the top, meanspirited, whatever, but it's still hyperbole unless you really think that Williams or any players on the Saints wanted to actually take the life of Frank Gore.
  11. What have I denied? Is pointing out that it's improbable that the Saints are the only team engaging in a-hole tactics a denial of anything? Quite the contrary, by suggesting that it probably isn't uncommon, I'm ADMITTING that the Saints did it, otherwise I couldn't even make that point to begin with. Saints did it. They got caught. Were told to stop. Did it again. Lied about it. Incurred the wrath of Goodell. Those are the facts and I've never denied them. If I was in "denial" why would I have posted things like this: viewtopic.php?f=44&t=60528&start=401
  12. How many football coaches from high school to the NFL use hyperbole like that? "Knock his [expletive] head off!" "Put him in the ground!" "Let's kill these guys today!" If his comments were viewed in isolation apart from BountyGate would they be all that shocking? Obviously targeting a guy who has had concussion issues is pretty damn distasteful, but is this really stunning news that coaches and NFL players are like that? Sportscasters spend copious amounts of time on TV shows saying stuff like "Is Player X's hand injury going to be a problem? ... Well John, you know the other team is going to try to get to that hand, so he really needs to do what he can to protect it."
  13. heh, nice reference
  14. no no, it's just the Saints. They have no souls or something.

  16. Not happy about having to watch the National broadcast tomorrow, but I'll take it.
  17. Bobby Wahl of No. 16 Ole Miss beats No. 1 Florida with 8 IP, 2 H, 0 ER, 6 K Oh, and y'all check out this clip of the Ole Miss student section doing their "home run shower" after a jack during tonight's game. Terrific camera work to catch that.
  18. Saints sign Curtis Lofton to a five year deal
  19. Hah, I had forgotten about that scene. Love the Gone with the Wind reference. Coincidentally this injury looks like a Civil War doctor was interrupted 95% of the way through removing a foot with a saw.
  20. why is there even a photo of it? Not of his personal injury just of the injury in general. I made the mistake of googling it and yeah his foot quite literally almost came off. His career is over.
  21. Shockey goes on the defensive to show he wasn't the snitch by posting text messages...by showing that he and Sean Payton text like 16 year old girls. http://sports.yahoo.com/blogs/nfl-shutdown-corner/jeremy-shockey-gets-sean-payton-vouch-him-snitch-180812118.html http://l.yimg.com/bt/api/res/1.2/nwEe5rWxd_b2LbjZnkcI5g--/YXBwaWQ9eW5ld3M7cT04NTt3PTYzMA--/http://media.zenfs.com/en/blogs/sptusnflexperts/Payton-Shockey-text.jpg
  22. it's pretty stupid, no doubt.
  23. No need for the if. They were doing it. Were told to stop and refused to stop. They deserve to be hit simply by the immense idiocy pouring out of that franchise. I haven't and won't argue that they shouldn't be punished, I just think the moral outrage is being overblown i.e. "they have no souls!" or with fans of other teams pretending like their players would never have taken part in something like this because their brutes are far classier than the brutes on the Saints.
  24. If the Saints were actually trying to hurt people, they weren't very good at it. http://online.wsj.com/article/SB10001424052970203370604577263580381162426.html
  25. LOL GB actually has class. Other than the nasty hit that McCray put on Favre's legs that they are showing ad nauseum on ESPN, I'd like to see a Saints hit from the past few years that had more of a chance of ending someone's livelihood than this hit at 2:30 http://www.nfl.com/videos/nfl-game-highlights/09000d5d804144c4/Packers-34-Vikings-0 That hit taking place in a game where it has since been established that a bounty existed of some sort on Peterson. It's not some logical leap to imagine that there were bounties in that locker room that weren't so vanilla as the tame ones they admitted to.
