  1. Who is saying it isn't offensive or cowardly? It's pretty damn trashy.
  2. He didn't destroy the Patriots for SpyGate and that was straight up cheating so I dunno what he'll do to the Saints, but obviously with the NFL so concerned lately with concussions and all that the punishment definitely won't be light.
  3. Well I guess I'm a fan of an officially dirty team....Very disappointing. http://www.nfl.com/news/story/09000d5d82757bcd/article/nfl-says-saints-created-bounty-program-from-20092011?module=HP11_breaking_news
  4. no. the ball goes past the catcher.
  5. Tolbert will make the team!
  6. Ole Miss has one of the fastest, if not the fastest player in D1 baseball in Senquez Golson a freshman outfielder who passed on an over million dollar signing bonus from the Red Sox to play football and baseball at Ole Miss. Just came across this video of him last night showing off some of his speed. http://a.yfrog.com/img190/5488/ma3p.mp4 oh and fwiw, here is Trent Richardson breaking the ankle of Golson in football last fall
  7. I will say that he did a damn good job speaking to the media. One of the better statements I've heard from an athlete. disclaimer: not saying I believe him or not, just saying that he's a good public speaker as far as athletes go.
  8. That's just so so so [expletive] wrong
  9. hope the Braves hung on to Ray King's old uniform

  11. Totally legal. If something as damaging to our society and personal health like alcohol is legal then there is no reason weed shouldn't be. It will be legal 15 years from now imo.
  12. "Mississippi" beat TCU tonight. Woot!

  15. if we'd have to be out for a whole season, you may as well just build a whole new one like the Yankees did.
  16. I can't even look at the field whenever that monstrosity is in view. On top of the tackiness of it all is how cheap it looks. The flying dolphins are attached with what amount to giant popsicle sticks. Perhaps it exists to give the Marlins a stronger homefield advantage. I mean, that thing has to be horribly distracting in a visiting hitter's peripheral vision, whereas the Marlins will be used to it after a while.

  18. good analysis
  19. site that compares Eli so far to all other HOF QB's through their age 30 seasons. http://www.newsday.com/sports/football/giants/eli-manning-vs-hall-of-fame-quarterbacks-at-30-1.3493231#1 Of the 23, the only ones that had higher passer ratings are Aikman, Montana, Jim Kelly, Marino, Steve Young, and an old timer named Otto Graham fwiw, I'm a giant Eli homer, but I think he has to win another SB and/or put up similar numbers as he had this year for another five or six years.
  20. wait, who was the dude that kept saying tss a couple months ago and then disappeared? is that you? What the hell is Tss? pretty sure he's doing a Jim Norton character named Chip Chipperson
  21. I'm not sure about that. How many QB's do you let in from this era? Brady and Peyton are locks. Roethlisberger has a better argument than Eli to be in the HOF at this moment. Brees has just as good of case and maybe better than Eli. Then you have the QB's just before this era (Favre, possibly Warner) and the guy who's on his way (Rodgers). That's a lot of QB's. Brees is MAYBE better than Eli?? Holy isht, two more seasons for Brees at his current pace and he is a lock. Brees at age 32 is already Top 10 in most all-time QB stats and as we know has handfuls of single season records. Eli is nowhere near any of those milestones.

  23. The good news is he can play all over the field and he's a switch hitter. He's extremely versatile having played professionally at 1B, 2B, SS, 3B, LF, CF, and RF. He's got plus speed and a plus glove. Good player to have come off the bench. He's been poor offensively in the bigs unfortunately. Pretty good minor league career got him spots in the Futures Game and AAA All Star game though. Hopefully if he makes the team he'll have better numbers because his plate appearances off the bench should go up a good bit being in the NL now. I'm glad he's a Cub!
