    Different conferences for different sports perhaps. The Phoenix Suns don’t play in the NFL do they? Haha

    I’m kind of envisioning things still lining up mostly geographically. I can see two super conferences, with Mega-B1G being the western and northern schools and the Mega-SEC being the southern and eastern ones. So in your scenario the only ones you wouldn’t get would be UNC, VA, and GA Tech, which are all pretty solidly in the mega-SEC zone

    Buddy of mine who is connected to the SEC office says that Arizona State and the SEC have been communicating this week. That would seem like an odd fit but that is a pretty huge TV market.

    Eventually going to be something similar to the AFC and NFC but with the Northern and Western schools against the Southern and Eastern schools.

    Thank you! Been an absolutely insane run. Went from being 7-14 in the league to a National Title. Last team to be selected to the tourney to winning the damn thing. Insane. Only gave up 15 earned runs in their last 10 games.

    They did get a new hitting coach in the offseason so maybe it’s that? Maybe he’s just super good?

    I'm an idiot. Do we think something nefarious could increase a player's barrel rate? It seems like that's cheat proof but we've learned pretty much nothing is Knowing what’s coming would increase your barrel rate. And no I’m not suggesting they’re cheating.

    O/U 3 fan brawls in the Omaha stands? It’s only baseball so I wouldn’t expect anything like that. Now in 2025 when Texas returns to Kyle Field all bets are off. For that one I may be in the Texas family section too. My best friend’s kid is dying to play there and I think he’s got a real shot. That would be so weird for me. Might be sooner than 2025. I’m hearing it could be as early as 2023 that OU and UT join the SEC. They’re trying to legally wiggle out of their BigXII contract and some speculate that could be accomplished this year.

    Not at all. I guess people might assume that Cobb was a slappy singles hitter due to how many hits he had but he led the league in SLG 8 times and is 4th all time in doubles and 2nd all time in triples. Ichiro's career SLG is over 100 points lower than Cobb's. I think Gwynn with more speed (let's not forget that before he got fat he once stole 56 bases in a season) and a bit more power would be the best comp for Cobb. Cobb is a bit hard to do a similarity rating on because you don't see major speed guys with high BA's and also good SLG like that.

    Hmmm, well JAWS has him as the 16th ranked RF ever. The other guys on your list according to JAWS Ruth #1 RF Mays #1 CF Williams #2 LF Bonds #1 LF I mean, if he had played in the MLB starting at age 21 or something, then he might have ended up 5th or so in RF all time, but as it stands now he’s not an Inner Circle HOF like those other guys.

    Yeah watch their coach when he knew they were busted trying to get the bat back so he could run off with it. Although I guess the theatrics were unwarranted since the league office didn't do anything and no one cared enough to write the story. Tennessee hit 158 HR this year. For comparison, let's look at the season HR totals of the other SEC teams that are currently still alive: Arkansas - 99 Auburn - 72 Ole Miss - 99 TAMU - 80

    Yes, Link Jarrett's bags are already packed. He has done a phenomenal job at ND. I'm cautiously optimistic about the chances of my Rebs. They are peaking at the right time. In their 5 postseason games so far against Arizona, Miami, and USM, they've outscored them 46-11. That'll play. Their pitching staff gave up 0 runs and only 7 hits in the Super.

    Tennessee can eat a dick. So glad they got bounced. They behaved like trash all season and cheated to boot. 9 dudes with double digit homers? Ya right. Yep, that’s right, they were caught rolling their bats and nothing happened. That said, they were really freaking good. With them gone there won’t be a favorite in Omaha this year.

    Yes, in April. Last I read the expectation is that he'll sign somewhere after the draft so he doesn't require pick compensation, and it's estimated he might be able to be back in the MLB lineup in September. Ok that makes sense. I was wondering why he wasn’t picked up yet. He’d be a nice piece next year
