  2. Brantley is on the IL and not on the World Series roster Goodrum was DFA’d on 9/1
  3. https://www.espn.com/mlb/story/_/id/34892463/dusty-baker-laments-lack-us-born-black-players-world-series This is the biggest issue I have with MLB and it has been for years. Dusty may be a goober but he’s 100% correct.
  4. I horsefeathering love this series.
  5. per twitter, this is the first time something like that could happen: (edited to show my work)
  6. Realmuto with an inside the park HR
  7. Davis is the only one in the top 11 positive CPA plays whose team did not win the title. The next-most positive play that did not ultimately result in a title was a game-tying two-run double in the 8th by the Red Sox' Dom DiMaggio in Game 7 of the '46 World Series against St. Louis, which was bettered by #13 on the list, Harry Walker's game-winning hit in the bottom of that same inning. I remember some of the 1991 World Series but I did not remember that in the 8th inning of a scoreless game 7 both teams had the bases loaded and 1 out and both hit into double plays to end the inning. That much have been a nerve-wracking game for both fan bases. That game 7 was unreal. First World Series as a kid I watched from game 1 to game 7.
  8. this whole poker thing is getting crazier by the week: Garrett Adelstein Report on Likely Cheating on Hustler Casino Live
  9. Who was likely all hopped up on something as well. I don’t know when it happened but isn’t it widely considered just about every player was taking greenies on a somewhat daily basis. There are stories about how most teams just had a candy bowl of them for players to grab. Fairly sure Aaron and others took them (and I’m not saying it’s that “bad” or the same as HGH mind you) Ball Four by Jim Bouton.
  10. 14 games below .500
  11. did heyward make the trip to toronto with the team? i know that was after (or at least near) the time they "benched" him for the rest of the season.
  12. clark the cub lacks genitalia and does not wear pants so i question his placement on this chart
  13. survivor: cagayan legend garrett adelstein:
  14. love getting stuck in baseball reference wormholes: * wade boggs only had one season in his career with an obp under .350 (.348 at age 40) * miguel cabrera leads all active players in batting titles with 4 - jose altuve has 3 - dj lemahieu and christian yelich both have 2 - ty cobb holds the record with 12 (!!!), honus wagner and gwynn are 2nd with 8
  15. I'm going to have to politely disagree. They made the video without very many fans. The same shots 30 minutes before 1st pitch on a sold-out day, it's a different video. that's a fair assessment. to have everything lined up correctly for the drone to do its thing sounds like a producer's nightmare. can't imagine how difficult this would be to pull off with a packed house.
  16. say what you want about the product on the field but this video is outstanding. editing is top notch.
  17. federer in his prime is probably the best athlete outside of jordan that i've seen in my lifetime. people throw GOAT around when it comes to athletes but roger was the real horsefeathering deal.
  18. cubs broadcast crew on tuesday provided a stat stating they've blown 41 leads so far this season.
  19. goony for bears prez/ceo
