    there's an argument to be made that with interleague play, the strategic lines that separate national league and american league baseball have blurred considerably. i love double-switches as much as the next person and as cool as it was to see jon lester go deep like once every 50 or 100 at-bats, i prefer the cubs put out the best lineup possible (insert payroll joke here). if that means we can't see pitchers with shitty swing mechanics anymore, i'm fine with that.

    It's pretty damn sickening. We all know this stuff happens everywhere but for whatever reason seeing it play out so obviously in real time makes it even more infuriating. The MLBPA rejected mediation, as they should have.
