  1. With LSU losing, the SEC will only get one. I think StNford losing potentially hurts ND, but the other options besides ND are looking real thin. Clemson, Big Ten champ, SEC champ, and a Big 12 champ or ND. Utah still has a shot, but I think they would have to hope for something funky in SEC or Big Ten.
  2. At that point, you had a QB that hadn't thrown the ball since 14:23 was left in the 4th quarter. If anything, you gotta run because you expect rust. If you threw on 3rd, I understand throwing again on 4th. But to try to have your QB throw a pass for the first time in an hour of real time on 4th down to win/lose a game is iffy at best. Michigan's defense was selling out against the run on that play. If IU was going to pass, they should have done a rub or some play to take advantage of single coverage. All that said, they should have run
  3. I can't believe they passed
  4. Every time I watch Michigan their defense gives up huge plays. When I don't watch they shut the other team out. I keep this.king they are overrated. But I haven't seen them when they dominate
  5. and then make me eat crow
  6. Michigan men are so predictable. With 3 mins to go in the half and a 12 point lead, they turn off the offense. End up giving up a big score before half.
  7. this game seems one sided in favor of Indiana. Yet are losing. Bad offensive interference call
  8. Okay, even if they suck by your ultra strict definition, OSU won by 25 and should have been 32 since they scored a td on their first drive that didn't count. At no time was that game in any doubt. Even when it was 7-3 in the 2nd.
  9. It was 7-3 when I posted that and it was late 2nd quarter. I knew OSU was going to pull away because Illinois sucks, but it gets annoying seeing them just able to sleepwalk through half the game against everyone they play. Illinois does not suck.
  10. Winning by 18 at end of 3rd, on the road, Illinois has a solid defense, lost a td on first drive, huge games in next two weeks. What are you guys talking about? If they don't win by 60 they suck?
  11. Bad calls happen. Giving 60 yds in 2 plays in that situation is inexcusable. MUS put themselves in the position to let the refs hurt them.
  12. Why? Couldn't you also say it shows how bad the loss to Ole Miss was?
  13. All game long it just felt like Minnesota was going to win. They seemed like they were getting all the breaks. Michigan dropped a pick 6, qb was injured on a play that shockingly wasn't called targeting. Minnesota caught a couple of lucky deep balls. Then bam, the last 17 secs happened.
  14. My first thought was Dyksyra is just trying to sell books. But that is exactly what I and most thought about Canseco when he wrote his book about steroids
  15. You're better of not watching the Hawks until November. That's true most years. I find hockey in general largely unwatchable until the December/January timeframe. Early season hockey doesn't do it for me, unless I have tickets to a game. agree. I know October points are worth the same as March points. But hockey is much better when the teams are playing with more urgency. You rarely ever see that kind of urgency before the New Year.
  16. I don't question either of the coaches. There was a higher probability that MSU could block a punt and possibly get a fg attempt then anything that could have happened if the ball was kicked. So send 11, no brainer. As for Michigan, you practice that play. I am sure they don't practice run around and throw the ball up in the air. Or whatever scheme people are thinking up. Just execute. Play calling is overrated, execution is underrated.
  17. If it wasn't for special teams, I think MSU has been quite a bit better.
  18. Terrible. The targeting call was indefensible. The late hit when the player leaped before the the play was dead was stupid but I've seen worse. Having to review 3 consecutive TDs and overturning the first 2. And I understand the Butt catch wasn't inconclusive but throw us a damn bone. And then the ref just announced a penalty on Michigan State as being on Michigan and then left his mic on while Harbaugh yelled at him and he admitted he [expletive] up. In a normal game thats a funny moment, in this particular game its more evidence of the officials blatant bias or something (kidding, they've just incompetent) I'm sure there was some bad calls on State but I'm watching with biased eyes the block in the back call that was reversed was questionable. I don't like the call for late hit, but I think it is an easy penalty to avoid. There was no point to jump on.
  19. Yes it was a bad call. I am happy with MSUs performance today. I am sure we have out gained Michigan. A couple of big returns given up suck, but overall kind of happy. I don't understand why Michigan isn't attacking us downfield, but defense has gotten good pressure.
  20. Well OSU is your sorta twin with underwhelming wins. They are still #1 but their votes are slipping. I think they get the benefit of doubt due to being defending champs fair or not. Also TCU also dropped last week (albeit 1 spot) after a couple of very unimpressive wins. On a side note: who would have thought a month ago that Michigan would be 7 point favorites over Sparty in this one? no kidding. And I would put my money on Michigan at this point. Dantonio has done a great job getting the Spartans up for Michigan. Maybe there is something in them that they haven't shown yet.
  21. I am not arguing that MSU should be ranked higher than 7....but why does it look like they are the only team that gets punished for not being "impressive" enough? But it makes no difference, beat Michigan and they are okay. If not, Citrus Bowl bound
  22. islanders have no fanbase. City has a strong Ranger base. Rangers are currently good and exciting. Long term it is probably the right move, but it may take time. Islanders are a good young club.
  23. Watching Sparty right now thinking there is no way they are beating Michigan next week.
  24. Living in Central Illinois is going to be a little intense this week
