  1. Florida's offense has been pretty awful in the Muschampe era. If they hsve a mediocre season and get abused by GA, he may be gone. I'd love him as Ark's DC. Can't wait for MS State/LSU. These morons here act like they'll blow them out tonight. I may go get a beer just to watch the LSU fans get drunk and belligerent.
  2. The more I think about it, the more I think Miss St beats LSU, maybe 21-17 in a slugfest. You can run on LSU, and their offense isn't lighting up anyone. On a side note, anyone have a scouting report on Northern Illinois? The Hogs host them looking as good as they have looked since Petrino.
  3. Last news I heard was he as running without a boot a couple days ago. I imagine running with a boot would be awkward.
  4. Let's say the Pats, Denver and Indy will win their divisions. TN to me is in that secondary group of mediocre AFC teams that could easily make a Wild Card. They're in a grouping with the non-division winner of Pitt, Baltimore and Cincy, then Miami and SD.
  5. http://www.bleachernation.com/2014/09/09/you-may-now-call-pitcher-carson-sands-a-top-20-chicago-cubs-prospect/ You May Now Call Pitcher Carson Sands a “Top 20 Chicago Cubs Prospect"
  6. Someone on Twitter cited the "stand your ground" law as a defense for Rice yesterday. I'd bet money this person also cites the 1st Amendment whenever someone says something offensive and gets reprimanded.
  7. EXACTLY, and I bring that up. And to those making it an issue, if they are not saying she somehow deserved it then what is the rationale for even bringing it up? What is the point exactly?
  8. Ugh. The people out there who are automatically calling her a golddigger are maddening. Their logic is that no woman would defend her man like that unless she was there for his money, nevermind Battered Woman Syndrome or trying to keep her family together. No evidence whatsoever, but simply a means to devalue here and and indirect way of saying she was asking for it. My question is, if she is a golddigger, why wouldn't she be running AWAY from the guy who just lost his job, his reputation and possibly his career? She undoubtedly would still receive child support and alimony. [expletive] morons, all of them.
  9. Front page of ESPN.com, an article from Jason Whitlock. Well said. http://espn.go.com/nfl/story/_/id/11488363/jason-whitlock-latest-ray-rice-developments
  10. This is the story going forward on the news. The Ray Rice side of it is done for the season in a day or two. The focus will squarely be on the NFL then. I keep hearing mentions on twitter and the internet that the press hates Goodell and would be all too happy to go after him. If someone has evidence that he lied about seeing the tape earlier he has to be toast.
  11. my guess is a recently unemployed worker at the defunct Revel Casino. NM
  12. I agree with one or two embed limits. I've also seen it on other boards and it is much cleaner and easier to navigate, especially on slow loading pages like on your phone. On that note, a "Go Down" button that puts you at the bottom of the page would also help with this.
  13. I am there too, but I keep telling myself that this was like the Superbowl for Atlanta, at least the way they built up the game. Colston had maybe the worst game of his career and there was a godawful call of interference against the Saints that kept a drive alive for ATL. Champ Bailey must have looked really bad in camp to get beaten by P Robinson is all I keep wondering. Then again I have been drinking whiskey today.
  14. Because he's loaded with talent, for one. Second, be honest. When Cutler leaves the strong likelihood is, we are going into another era of mediocrity @ QB. People want it to happen, there's nothing wrong with that. This is the argument I don't get with people defending Cutler, especially in this age of rookie QBs coming in and having success relatively early. It seems like it was also the argument for him to get that contract, so now you really are kind of stuck with him. He's like Testaverde, a QB who can make a nice little career based on his talent but makes too many mistakes to play at a high level consistently and get a team home field and/or in the SB. It's why Dallas has been saddled with 8-8 for eternity.
  15. So one game in and Strong has been determined to be a terrible coach? Also, as someone who loved Petrino when he was at Arkansas, just no. Lost in the [expletive] show of the motorcycle wreck was that Petrino was a terrible recruiter (see the last 2 years of Hog football) and that he had no desire to put any focus on his defense. Pass.
  16. I'd wait until he gets his own recruits on the field. But being Texas, I doubt they give him past this year. They gave Mack Brown plenty of time, of course his good friend was the AD. Strong will get past this year at the very least. Mack handed him a [expletive] QB situation as well. Oh and BYU ran for something like 550 yards last year vs Mack. Keep in mind that he is running a depleted team out there right now with all of the suspensions, but somehow I think the Whorns fans don't give a [expletive] about that. I feel like Strong could be the right coach for TX, but his personality and his race frankly will probably not give him the chance. A bad year this year and a bad start next and he is toast.
  17. Wait. What? It hasn't even gotten that hot down here this summer. What the hell is happening on the West Coast this year? El Nino Warm waters off the coast of CA has also led to fish typically found down by Cabo being up by LA. Oh yeah. TWC said that's why we have had such a mild hurricane season this summer. *knocking on wood*

  19. That defensive shift is going to leave a big hole at SS.
  20. The play where he rolled right and threw back left to the endzone...and it was nearly picked off. Collinsworth gushed about his arm strength...I know that NOLA doesn't like to hear it, but man...if that'd been Cutler... I just think you guys are so hypersensitive about him, much the way I would be about a Saint probably. Any QB who isn't named Peyton, Rodgers, Brady or Brees would have been called out for a dumb decision on that play. In fact, I hear national announcers calling out Drew for some boneheaded things he's done in the past during broadcasts. It's just gotten to the point where when any QB in the league uses questionable judgement, some guys go there immediately. Hell, Cutler is a pretty good QB but Romo and Eli with his 2 rings get at least as much grief as Jay. If anyone gets off too easy by the media, it's not Rodgers but Matty Ice in Atlanta.
  21. The "imagine if that were Jay" thing is reaching comical status. On a side note, that Clay Matthews flop last night was Vlade Divac quality.
  22. To be fair, I am pretty happy to make the Dirty Birds our bitches every year for the opening game. http://stream1.gifsoup.com/webroot/animatedgifs2/2404524_o.gif
  23. I don't know. Vandy looks bad this year, and I have to think Ole Miss will come out with a vengeance after the slow start against Boise last week. I think they may run up the score.
  24. Seriously sucks for Olt. This has to be his last chance to show anything for the Cubs and he is on the DL. I was hoping he could maybe reach a Matt Stairs type production. Probably hoping for too much.
  25. Just no.
