Completely disagree, Underwood was a great hire and they have a really solid, deep class coming in this year. That is an awful take for a single year. I hope you're correct, although, I believe he's the only Big Ten Coach without a 2019 commitment which is discouraging. They just finished putting together a 7 player 2018 class and they're heavily recruiting 2019 talent. It's still super early, and they mifht have just 2 apots available. Illinois' problems in both programs right now is trying to recover from awful talent voids left by prior regimes. The FB program has 6 seniors and is coming off a win (yes, today was their worst showing). The BB program has 4 returning players after offloading a bunch of secondary talent and a talented graduate. Patience is a key right now, as both sports are rebuilding from scratch.
