  1. The NFL announced that all Week 17 games will be division games.
  2. Rose's season PER is also misleading because he played injured for upwards of six weeks to start out the season, and his PER was terrible. I'm wondering if there's a place that you can get PER splits by month. Also, at this point, Rose is past Rondo, defense or no defense.
  3. After the second round it doesn't matter anymore, as there are just 2 teams left in each conference.
  4. Here's another one I remember that Andy Hawkins pitched against the White Sox and lost 4-0. He even pitched the whole game.
  5. At this point, it's pretty neck and neck in terms of who is more valuable between Rose and Williams. Paul and Roy may have fallen slightly below them due to the injury. Nash and Kidd are still good, but Phoenix and Dallas would kill to trade them straight up for any of the prior 4, and possibly Tyreke Evans as well. There are only 5 or 6 players in the league more valuable than Rose right now, so this whole discussion about whether he's a top 5 at his position is moronic.
  6. I don't see the point in bagging on Cleveland because the Bulls have essentially played them close for 90 minutes. Cleveland played fantastic offensively last night, couldn't miss from outside or the FT line, and needed every bit of it to win. If anything, credit to the Bulls for making them play their best to win.
  7. An article describing what the Bulls can do on offense to take advantage of Shaq being on the floor: http://nbaplaybook.com/2010/04/19/post-game-adjustments-bulls-need-to-make-cavs-pay-for-playing-shaq/
  8. That way madness lies.

    Pick six

Technically, it's a seven-start league, but I have Niemann pitching right now (thank you, early game), so now I have to try for the six best starts out of this group: Dan Haren: vs. Stl, vs. Phi Jorge De La Rosa: @Was, vs. Fla Justin Masterson: @Min, @Oak Brad Penny: @SF Jaime Garcia: @SF Shaun Marcum: vs. KC Jeff Niemann: vs. Tor Right now I'm thinking Haren twice (although those are the best offensive opponents of anyone), De La Rosa twice, Marcum vs. KC and Niemann vs. Toronto. Although, Penny and Garcia have been my best pitchers so far and Masterson gets a lot of Ks.
  10. Only against lefties, who Theriot actually hits well. And because of an 11 AB sample size.

    Week 3

To pitch Niemann or not to pitch Niemann...that is the question. Ehh...I'll leave him in today. Space out the starts, and Boston has struggled offensively so far this year.
  12. :-k hmmm I...I just don't know about that, Peter He was one of the best pitchers in the NL last year, and better than Oswalt.
  13. Held the Nats to 7 today and won. It's amazing this team is 6-6.
  14. I am just assuming the word is full-back.
  15. I blame the offense, mostly. Although Oswalt and Wandy are no slouches.
  16. except UI's is better. Purdue does have a top 20 engineering program, but Illinois's is top 5. Maybe he'll go to Stanford or Cal, though.
  17. I'm pretty sure Mather just pitches until his arm falls off from this point on.
  18. And the Mets saving K-Rod for 11 innings pays off...maybe...
  19. Henry Blanco just intentionally walked with runners on 1st and 2nd. Pujols due up 2nd in the bottom half, I think he already has a 3-0 count.
  20. 8 runs allowed today, which makes now 11 games in a row.
  21. It's a little early to scoreboard watch.
  22. He'll be allowed 3 workouts, but he'll only show up to one.
  23. Brewers pitching has kind of an ominous streak going this year: They have yet to give up fewer than 4 runs in any game to this point. To this point, they've given up 5, 4, 5, 5, 7, 7, 9, 7, 6, and now 5 again tonight through 8.
  24. UNC Wilmington hires Buzz Peterson away from Appalachian State. That should give them good practice for the next coaching search in a year or two. 6 job changes for Peterson in the last 10 years (twice from Appalachian State).
