Trout has a higher wOBA and higher wRC+. Cabrera is .6 higher in batting runs above replacement, but he has also played 154 games to Trout's 132. Trout is .002 higher in wOBA and 6 wRC+ (and leads in B-VORP). That is the "close second" part of what I said. Cabrera leads OPS, weighted OPS, and OPS+, and leads overall batting value (in the AL), which is what I was basing "better offensive player" on, since that's the offensive portion of FanGraphs' WAR calculation.
