  1. Underwood is 62, he's not going to want to start over at a new school, even if it is Kansas, Duke, Arizona, UNC, or Kentucky.
  2. First final 4 for Arizona since that atrocity of a game in 2001.
  3. Holy horsefeathers dude, enough already. This is embarrassing even for you.
  4. Illini won this game by double digits while getting an unfriendly whistle and shooting 18% from 3.
  5. I don't think AZ is quite that good. I think Arkansas was a paper tiger that squeaked by a couple of 12-13 seeds and clearly wasn't on a Tier 1 or Tier 2 level.
  6. Oh, I think so too. I think UConn is the 4th best team left in that region.
  7. Amusingly ,there is a real chance that UConn IS in their way eventually.
  8. I mean, their skid was 4 one possessxion OT games and a no show against Michigan. Houston was not the best team they've seen this year. However, Illinois has probably been the best team on the left half of the bracket so far this tournament, which is very exciting.
  9. Five best B1G teams are still around. Also, Iowa is here.
  10. There's no WNBA thread, and starting one would just make it die on the vine, so I'll put this here. The WNBA finally caved to the players' demands, so the season will start on time (you may have noticed women wearing the "Pay us what we're worth" shirts the past year). The salary difference for players will be...significant.
  11. Love this shot of Palencia.
  12. Seven extra strikes, which overall I suppose is fine, but they're bunched into the late innings. Maybe the moment got to the guy. Some of those at the top of the zone seemed high from the TV angle, though:
  13. That ump was Eric Gregg reincarnated. Strike zone extended 6 inches outside and down, and 3 inches up and in. Hitters didn't stand a chance.
  14. The only real head scratcher from the committee this year was Vandy as a 5, considering their metrics effectively had them as a 3, or at worst the strongest 4.
  15. Here's a fun article detailing how much Bruce Pearl is a piece of garbage, particularly to Illini fans: https://www.sbnation.com/college-basketball/2019/4/4/18295241/bruce-pearl-final-four-timeline-infractions-auburn-lowa-deon-thomas-wire-milwaukee-violations
  16. A lot of people think the earth is flat. Doesn't make it a valid option.
  17. I feel like I'm taking crazy pills, because KOBE DID NOT HAVE THE RECORD. Wilt does at 100 points. This is the Riley Gaines of slights. Defector gets it...https://defector.com/i-will-never-forgive-trae-young-for-surpassing-kobe-bryants-career-high-for-assists-in-a-game-eight-times
  18. And nobody on the team, coaching staff or otherwise, thought any different. They partied like they won something the night before, put in the B team lineup and pitching, and only really looked like they understood what was going on in the 7th inning. PCA may have bailed them out, but there is a very real chance they don't advance (they need a result other than Mexico winning a low scoring game to advance), and at this point kind of deserve the embarrassment as a result of their ignorance and arrogance.
  19. Twitter is not a source. Stop treating it as one.
  20. Thanks for the effort in the OT game winner against GB. Wish that same effort was brought in OT against the Rams.
  21. In American football, the only winning move is not to play.
  22. Yeah, I mostly base it on the concept that Dallas and Memphis are clearly better than the Bulls right now and New Orleans isn't actually tanking. That mostly leaves 5 teams and they need just one to be frisky over the last month of the season. I also base this on the belief that I don't think the Bulls end up with more than 26 wins this season.
  23. Fortunately, the Bulls were already bad at beating bad teams before they stopped trying, so they lose most of those tiebreakers. They haven't come close to winning since the trade deadline, they have a legit shot of sneaking into the bottom 5.
