Use them as assets for future trades, mostly. Right now they're effectively tanking and clearing salary so they can get a high draft pick in next year's draft and add a couple actual big money stars to the team rather than try to ride it out with 10 good players, which hasn't worked now for the 10th year in a row. Took them too long to realize that the Vuc-Demar-LaVine "big 3" wasn't actually big enough, and none of the assets they had could net them a first round pick, so the path forward is to stockpile lower end picks and use them in future trades.

Based on Izzo's response after the game, he's more likely to re-sign Mady Sissoko and reinstate his eligibility for Saturday's game than suspend Fears. In his post-game he was asked about Fears and responded that he only saw Fears get shoved on the play and if he wasn't targeted and baited, it would have amounted to nothing, and that it's somehow Michigan's fault that Fears has to be extra careful.

Big picture is they're giving up on this year to stock picks and cap space to actually try something different, which is frankly a welcome change. Who knows how well it'll work.

I think the Bulls just got involved in a Kings-Cavs trade where they traded away nothing, took on Dario Saric with their available cap space to make that trade work money wise, and received two picks for their efforts. So the Bulls got Dario Saric and two picks for nothing. The NBA, everybody!

I mean, they literally have 3 B1G championships under Underwood. They beat Michigan on the road when Ayo went down to win the conference 4 years ago, they beat Michigan and Purdue back to back to end last season when things looked like they were falling apart, they won the B1G tournament 2 years ago. Even the disaster team 3 years ago beat top 10 UCLA and Texas during the year. I'm particularly annoyed by stupidity this morning, and I'm all out of patience for meathead nonsense right now.
