  1. I like what Robert Mays said about the pick. He wanted EDGE, but if you're picking between a B- EDGE or a B+ safety, there's no harm in grabbing the safety.
  2. I think Dillon Thieneman is a gift at 25. I hope some of the good edge rushers are still there at 57.
  3. I am pleased.
  4. Theineman or Faulk would make me pleased.
  5. Dallas drafts an EDGE but not Faulk.
  6. Mesidor 22 to the Chargers.
  7. Caleb Lomu is still in the neighborhood.
  8. Rams and Steelers too.
  9. Wild for the Lions to reach for an OT with Freeling on the board. Freeling goes 19 to Carolina. Top 6 names on the board right now (meaning at least one will get to 25): Makai Lemon USC WR Jermod McCoy Tennessee CB Dillon Thieneman Oregon S Keldric Faulk Auburn EDGE Avieon Terrell Clemson CB Akheem Mesidor Miami (FL) EDGE
  10. Only if he falls to like 20, but it's moot at this point since Tampa took him at 15, which isn't a huge slide from the expected range.
  11. I mean, anytime you can get a less athletic Daniel Jones in the first round, you have to jump at that chance.
  12. Gotta admit that "1st round NFL quarterback" was not the first thing that came to mind when watching Ty Simpson play for Alabama last season.
  13. I have a feeling they'll pull from the college ranks, maybe Jon Scheyer or Dusty May.
  14. There are 5 teams in the NL Central that are over .500. There are 5 teams in the entire AL that are over .500.
  15. It prevents ownership from doing one specific stupid things, but plenty of stupid things remain on the table. Just spitballing, what if they bring Paxson back as VP? (Keep in mind, he's still working as a special advisor to Reinsdorf)
  16. It sounds like PFF has basically imploded: https://defector.com/the-decline-of-pro-football-focus-is-bad-news-for-football-fans
  17. I have a feeling if Blackwell went to Illinois, Coleman would not be. Mirkovic will be the central focus of the team offense next year, and I expect Coleman and Morillo (and maybe Brown) to contribute significantly to the team next year. As is, this is a top 5 roster, and some media outlets were listing them #1 before the Vaaks transfer.
  18. Can't fault the guy for not wanting to be the 10th man off the bench, when there are plenty of other P4 options where he could get significant playing time.
  19. The Bulls had a team full of great 6th men on championship rosters, sold almost all of them for zero first round draft picks, and did it late enough that they couldn't even get good lottery chances this year. Meanwhile, Reinsdorf fires AKME for not making the play-in and determines the new front office has to keep Donovan. Somehow this still isn't even the worst basketball franchise in Chicago.
  20. Maybe Reinsdorf saw what the Sky front office did today and realized he somehow didn't have the worst front office in Chicago sports and is now looking to reclaim that title.
  21. Turkiye beats Kosovo to claim the 4th spot in the US's group.
  22. First, Illinois needs to exercise their "Wait, is that a 30-0 run?" UConn demon. Illini will be favored statistically though.
