  1. At no point was any of that a correct answer.
  2. Not sure this is a top 25 team. This team needs easy buckets to score, since nobody can shoot but Rice, and if they double Rice, there are no other options.
  3. I was going to make a Derrick Rose joke, but he didn't go to the Big Ten, so Magic Johnson for sure.
  4. And oddly enough, the point of having a poll is to avoid having 100 posts saying "I agree" and forcing Raisin to count them all.
  5. Multiple selections would be more helpful if there were a way to rank selections.
  6. Being a cynic doesn't make you smarter or right either, as much as you try to insinuate.
  7. Maybe somebody wants to make sure he doesn't fall off the ballot from lack of support...
  8. Just give him a copy of the Soriano deal, with Tanaka's name taped over it. Save money on reprinting.
  9. Awful ballots, from Awful Announcing: http://www.awfulannouncing.com/2014/january/2014-s-worst-baseball-hall-of-fame-ballots.html?utm_source=twitterfeed&utm_medium=twitter
  10. Also, I'm sure it's not relevant now, but I'd add Candelario, Vizcaino, and maaaaybe Olt and Villanueva to the next poll.
  11. Only one option? Seems limiting.
  12. They didn't have steroids in the 80s or in Japan.
  13. I remember a month or so ago there was a theory that there definitely would be a fair amount of guys who wouldn't vote for him knowing he was a lock to get in and they would use his vote on someone else they thought might have a hard time even staying on the ballot for next year, let alone get elected this year, they think is worthy. I get that line of thought, I guess. I'd expect that strategic voting from the guys with public ballots not the 110 year old fossils who were private You can hardly blame those people for not making their vote public though. How are they supposed to do that without a computer, or electricity?
  14. Yet that Gurnik guy suffers no consequences for basically filling out an obvious troll ballot. Crass also, who submitted a blank ballot.
  15. PED use: suspended 50 games. Dare give someone else an opportunity to influence a HOF vote: lifetime ban.
  16. The sense of entitlement of baseball (and even former baseball) writers is astounding. Sanctimonious is right.
  17. He's an entitled white pro ball player with two horrible lacrosse player first names for his first AND last name. I can't to see him be a monster to baseball, but the douche side is strong with this one. lol ok seriously, though, that couldn't be further form the truth by ALL accounts. Hey, N&G used cold hard facts to prove his theory, like the fact that his name sounds douchey and he's white. It's not like it's too far of a logical leap from there to assume he's also a douche.
  18. Which I'm sure you'd be fine with as long as there's HD video of it, but the man gave a voice to the public, and the public (even the ironic, cynical public at Deadspin) did it better than the writers.
  19. A team focused on creating turnovers and easy baskets doesn't often fare well against a team that is efficient offensively and doesn't turn the ball over.
  20. Psh, just wait until Jozy transfers to Chivas.
  21. Not to mention they were all voted in unanimously. By a completely different group of people (16 total). And yet is still a lame double standard.
  22. Not to mention they were all voted in unanimously.
  23. And that's officially the first time I really thought about the Cubs system as a whole since the beginning of last year. Really something that Brett Jackson might not crack the top 30 in the system right now.
  24. Seems only fitting that the official BBWAA email is bbwaa@aol.com
  25. There was one blank vote submitted, and Bob Gurnink's ballot had only Morris on it. If both had simply abstained this year, Biggio is in.
