we got lucky early on cuz pittsburgs bats havent fired up yet. this years team is not as good a team as the record has shown. face it our hitting is streaky and overall our pitching is just alright. we might get a wildcard but not the division. i just dont see it. cardinals are to deep a squad. and they have some fcking amazing karma for some reason. You are full of nonsense. You have no concept of facts, the team is better than the record has shown, and luck has nothing to do with it.

It's the middle of the bullpen. Strop, Rosscup, Rondon, Ramirez have been good. Everyone outside of that can be shot into the sun. How many bullpens you know of that are more than 4 deep? Also, you're neglecting Motte who has been mostly good. Before this hilarious meltdown, the Cubs were 13th in bullpen era and that's with the 4 guys mentioned and you can include Motte too I guess: http://espn.go.com/mlb/stats/team/_/stat/pitching/split/128 Really. You're going to bullpen ERA as the measure of pen effectiveness.

Why game one in particular instead of 1 of the first two games? It's the only game all series where Rose has more than a day of rest.

Another amusing close call...the Bulls scored 65 points in the first half. The Bucks finished with 66 for the game.
