  1. well my 20 point prediction in the Illinois game is looking pretty good now
  2. Michigan defeats MSU 72-67.
  3. Bulls blow out Toronto tonight, 104-88! Duhon had a career high 26 points and the Bulls were pretty much in control for most of the game. Washington and Atlanta are next for the Bulls and both games are at home before they go on their annual February road trip.
  4. I'd prefer Michigan to win tonight... Illini plays Minnesota at 8. Illinois should win that game by at least 20.
  5. But I think the Reds were going to use Dunn at 1B? Throw in Sing, take out Murton? I'm not sure Sing is on level with Murton. I could see the Reds having interest in Dopirak. They could sign a player like Frank Thomas or make a deal for a possible 1b to play in the meantime. The one problem they would have is replacing Dunn at first as they really don't have anyone to man the position currently. the Reds would be nuts to have Thomas as a 1st Baseman...he's a DH only at this point of his career. i do like your proposal though...PLZ VISIT THIS THREAD JIM!
  6. I kind of figured that, plus isn't he from Ohio. BUT, the only other team that I could see him playing for is the Bulls due to the whole Jordan thing :D. if LeBron signs with the Bulls in the summer of 07, he will be treated like God here. The city as a whole hasn't had a big FA signing in forever...I really don't know what we'd do if we were able to sign LeBron. well thats it for fantasy land...have fun with a new 7 year deal in Cleveland, LeBron
  7. NIU blows a 15 point lead with 6 minutes left and loses by 1 to Toledo. A 6 man on the court Technical foul was pretty big on us...very stupid loss tonight. Southern Illinois beat Creighton and extended their nation leading home court winning streak to 33 games.
  8. i heard that Chandler left the team...if this is true, that would be a big loss for DePaul because he was a pretty big recruit last year.
  9. agree with you on both points. This whole NFL season has been probably the worst for me since the 2000 season. This year's SB can't be as bad as that one, can it? Go Steelers.
  10. your NFL team is a whole heck of a lot closer than mine to winning a championship.
  11. yeah your probably right...in that case, go Pittsburgh. I was hoping Carolina could do it ever since the Skins were eliminated last week. Carolina has no answer though for Alexander.
  12. Wow Carolina with a huge break!
  13. Yes. Yes it does
  14. well you shouldn't now :) I'm glad Pittsburgh is going to represent the AFC in the Super Bowl.
  15. The Knicks lost again tonight and they have the 3rd worst record in the league. Plz keep losing Knicks :D
  16. Tyson and Noc were great tonight...the defense of last year was also there. If we play like this the rest of the year, I believe we'll easily make the playoffs. 2 games behind Washington right now for the 8th spot and 2 1/2 behind Philly for the 7th spot.
  17. 18 point lead, Tyson has played VERY well tonight with a double double. If Tyson can play this way for most of the rest of the season, we'll be alright. We just have to hold on to this one, Indiana will probably make a run to get back in it.
  18. simply awesome. Today just proved that there is no one clear-cut favorite to win it all this year.
  19. we'll be in much better shape this offseason with 3 draft picks and enough money to sign at least one big man.
  20. Actually, they're tied for 9th right now. And a few years ago, we would have been thrilled with that. Now it's just sad. yeah last year definitely put high expectations with this year's team. I didn't think we'd be as good as last year's team (with the loss of Curry and Davis), but definitely playoff level. Still half a season to go, I really hope we can get the 6th or 7th seed to avoid Detroit...these one, two, and three point losses are definitely killing us right now though.
  21. and don't forget that Iowa nearly lost to Penn St. on Saturday. I am real confused on most of these teams in the Big 10. One game, some teams look like the class of the conference, the next they look like they could be in the cellar. The conference is pretty even this year and the winner of the Big 10 (probably Wisconsin) is going to have to be the best at protecting their home court.
  22. Did he redshirt? His HS was in my hs's conference, and he graduated the same year I did I thought ('04). Yes he redshirted last year. Getting on the court this year, he can jump out of the gym, just needs to get his confidence built up. Do you know why Dearon dropped out. Apparently he's transferring to Bradley in Peoria. That's be a pretty big get for BU. as long as Jim Les is coach of the Braves, that team won't be going anywhere no matter who is on that team.
  23. BEN IS THE MAN!!! definitely wearing my Gordon jersey tomorrow at school, what a game. Hopefully this is the game that turns our season around :D
  24. Overpaid for Neifi Perez, and Rusch. One year contracts to Preston Wilson or Burnitz would have been better than 3 years to Jones. Overpaying for relievers coming off good years is too common. and i also think that Hendry could have got Eyre and Howry for cheaper than he signed them.
