  2. Not necessarily ridiculous, the Bulls are going to have a tough time being really successful with two short guards. Of course I don't think the Bulls will get good value for Gordon. i think the Bulls could get a lot for Gordon IMO. the newest rumor that I saw was Kirk Hinrich and the Knicks pick for Jermaine O'Neal. SIGN ME UP. Holy crap, that would be a sweet deal. yeah i would definitely do that deal too...it was from the Indianapolis Star, I saw it on RealGM.com. A starting 5 of Duhon, Gordon, Deng, Chandler, and O'Neal would be pretty sweet. We probably could still go 9 deep as well if we gave up Hinrich for O'Neal. Obviously there is a concern with O'Neal as he is developing a rep for being injury prone..I'd still take him though for Hinrich and probably the 2nd or 3rd pick in the draft.

  4. you can tell it's definitely spring training
  5. Bulls win 117-84 and are now just 2 back of the 6ers for the 8th spot. Gordon had 21, Hinrich had 18 and Nocioni and Malik Allen (   ) each had 16 to lead the Bulls. Let the ASB get underway.
  6. can't be any worse than Marquis Grissom. I don't think he'd accept a 4th or 5th OF spot though.
  7. Lucky they're in a fairly easy block. They've still got supposedly easy wins over Kazakhstan and Slovakia to come (although the Slovaks did beat Russia today). Slovakia is probably as good as the USA if not better. Gaborik, Demitra, Marian Hossa, Bondra and Satan are good scorers, and Chara and Visnovsky are strong defensemen. Main question is how good their goalie is. yeah Slovakia has a pretty dangerous offense. If the US doesn't win tomorrow, we're screwed.
  8. Latvia leads 3-2...
  9. yeah, the fact that Neifi freaking Perez is being paid 2.5 million makes me sick to my stomach.
  10. i absolutely hate the west coast and their stupid time zone, no offense to Raisin  , I just hate staying up until midnight when I have to get up at 6. Thankfully this is the final west coast game for the Bulls for a while. A win tonight puts us only 2 back of the 8th spot in the East.
  11. That's sweet now UNI (Northern Iowa) needs to win tonight to get sole possession of the Missouri Valley. and they didn't do it :D SIU now tied for 1st yet again. 5 MVC teams in the top 29 in the RPI according to WarrenNolan.com.
  12. i don't know if Altman would leave Creighton for Mizzou. speaking of Creighton, they lost 74-67 to SIU today :D
  13. just please don't take Chris Lowery from SIU.
  14. i'm sure TT, Mizzou, Cubbie75, and the rest of the Mizzou fans are rejoicing today: Quin Snyder's up-and-down tenure at Missouri is over. ESPN has learned that Snyder has resigned as men's basketball coach after six-plus seasons. Assistant coach Melvin Watkins will take over the 10-11 squad. going to be interesting to see where Snyder coaches next. Community College maybe?
  15. i'll definitely be watching the hockey portion of the olympics. it's going to be nice to actually watch some good hockey instead of the crap the Blackhawks put out on the ice this year  snowboarding and skiing are also 2 sports I like to watch during the Winter Games.
  16. In an effort to get this thread back on track... Does anyone else think giving up Pie, Dope and two pitchers who could be Williams and Guzman or Marshall is overpaying? Dunn is a great power hitter who hits from the left side and he gets on base a lot, but he isn't Bobby Abreu at age 25. Abreu was/is the complete package that Pie could be. Dunn's OPS is elite, but the rest of his game is average or slightly above average. Is OPS such an all-determining statistic? Pie's ceiling is higher than Dunn's though Dunn is realizing his potential at the moment while Pie is still somewhat of a risk. So Pie for Dunn straight up might be fair if both GMs feel like rolling the dice. Or Dunn for a solid starter like Williams and a top pitching prospect like Hill/Guzman/Marshall would be fair, but not both of those offers combined plus Dopirak. What do the rest of you think? we are set at 1st for years with Lee so giving up Dopirak wouldn't be that bad. With Pie, like you said, is a very big risk. The comparisons to CPatt are pretty scary as well. I would trade Pie in a deal to net Dunn. We are pretty good on pitching depth. Guzman is injury prone, but it seems like he still has some pretty good value. Williams could either be the 5th starter on the big league team this year, the long man, or in AAA. Losing him wouldn't be that big of a deal. I really don't think that deal would be considered overpaying.
  17. i take blame for it. I should've never mentioned Neifi in the first place. anyway, yeah Dunn would look great in LF :)
  18. Harrington's a FA after this season, so it would be pretty stupid to make that deal. and he's said he would love to play here too. I would just wait until Free Agency.
  19. i'd take any of those guys over Neifi in a heartbeat. Neifi is awful. There is a reason why he was released and was without a job before Hendry gave him one.
  20. Man @tOSU, Mich, and MSU is going to be brutal. I hope we get 1 of those. yeah I think we can get at least 1, hopefully 2 of those. Izzo said that 5 losses could win the Big 10. If we win just one of those 3 road games and win every other game, that would put us at 5 losses. Even though we lost to PSU, I believe we can beat tOSU on the road as well as Michigan on the road.
