  1. Pip's actually been pretty good tonight.
  2. Besides Korver, our bench has been pretty shitty this series. 8 points tonight? What the [expletive]?
  3. Jeff Foster can [expletive] off. So can these refs.
  4. Drop Hamilton, Add Adrian Gonzalez.
  5. Ok, I'm convinced Quade is an idiot after what he's just done this inning.
  6. Yeah, I don't see why he doesn't throw Marshall, Wood and Marmol here and save the Grabow/Shark duo for Game 2. Because that makes too much sense. This is the game we need, especially with Russell pitching tonight.
  7. Anytime the offense wants to score some runs would be ok with me.
  8. Right. I take heart for next year too, watching an effort like that. This team still has a little bit of that "it" and they can get it back. It felt a lot like a game from last year. We actually made scoring look easy for a night.
  9. I'm alive but I figured I'd let CT start this thread since I was MIA a couple of days ago. He has my permission to start the nightcap thread if we're fortunate enough to win today.
  10. At free throws. Or jumpers.
  11. None of the popular teams have many Monday night games. That's not the desirable night. I don't know if for away teams the Thanksgiving game counts down the 5 night game maximum. Otherwise it's a little surprising that Green Bay didn't get the maximum number of night games. Yeah, I think the Thanksgiving slot counts as a primetime game. I'm glad we only have one Monday nighter. That crew makes every MNF game near unwatchable.
  12. Get this bitch back to Chicago and anything can happen. Awesome effort tonight. The meatball in me wants to take a run at either Torres or the Sedin sisters. Let's go.
  13. Sounds like the Packers are going to open against the Saints.
  14. Not a horrible comparison, but at least that Bulls team got themselves to .500 that season. The Pacers were 20-18 with Vogel as the coach. Not to mention the Bulls had a pretty good stretch at the end of the season to get themselves to .500. That's the comparison that I'm hoping for, at least.
  15. I switched from CSN to TNT for the 4th quarter. Best decision I've ever made. Stockton is the very definition of comic relief.
  16. Boozer had the Eddy Curry type of game on offense last night. They were able to get him involved early but then he was hardly nowhere to be seen in the second half when the Bulls had the ball. I thought he actually played pretty well (for his standards) on defense yesterday. It was ugly but I'm not complaining with a playoff win. Don't forget that when we were a lower seed five years ago, we gave the Heat a pretty competitive six game series in the first round and they eventually wound up winning the championship. The name of the game is to survive and advance.
  17. It's mind-boggling how a top five defenseman the last few years became an average joe overnight. Kane had a slow start but had a great second half of the season. Hossa had a pretty bad stretch midway through the year but him and Sharp were really the only good forwards at the start of the year. He really picked it up around the President's Day game against the Blues too. I think it's very obvious that Toews ran out of gas at the end of the season as well. Just rest up in the offseason. I don't think we should be pressed against the cap this summer, so hopefully Bowman rids the trash and gets some decent 3rd and 4th liners in here.
  18. Normally, I think you're right. And I also seem to remember Q stating something along those lines. Last year, the Hawks were so good that I recall more than one time where they failed on a 5-on-3 and STILL won the game. This year we just don't have that kind of margin to overcome lost opportunities like that. Yeah, our 5 on 3 PP last year wasn't very good either. You have to capitalize on those opportunities when you get them, especially when you have a long two-man advantage like we did last night. We're just too tentative in those situations. There were a lot of guys who were just standing around and not helping the point man during that advantage last night.
  19. The penalty was dumb, but the failed 5 on 3 was the game changer yesterday. I watched quite a bit of hockey the final week of the season because Center Ice was free. Just about every time a team had a 5 on 3 PP, they immediately converted on it. It seems like the team that doesn't score on the 5 on 3 PP eventually ends up losing the game. I knew that would come back to haunt us yesterday when it happened and sure enough, it did. And Scott's not my scapegoat this season. Not even close. The defensemen, not named Nick Leddy, get that award from me.
  20. After going WR in the first round, the Packers would probably go either DE, OLB or OL here. All of the outside linebackers that I wanted are long gone so with the final pick of the second round, the Packers select Jabaal Sheard out of Pitt. Two picks, two guys from Pitt.
  21. Kelvin Quarter and Chris Webber have the call on TNT tonight.
  22. It's tough being upset about this team this season. They weren't very good all year long and they're getting beat by a team that's just better than them in this series. Like dexter said, it's really unfortunate that we didn't beat Detroit last Sunday but that's just been the way this team has gone about doing business this season. Whatever. Rest up in the offseason and get them next year. Go Bulls.
  23. I'm sure we'll have to use him tomorrow in a much closer situation too.
  24. Deng must not like someone on the Pacers or something. I don't think we've ever seen that kind of emotion out of him. Yeah, I mentioned when it happened that I've never seen that type of emotion from Deng in 6+ years with us. Also echoing the 'Carlos Boozer is a bitch' sentiment. I miss early season Boozer.
  25. Heartbreaker for the Pacers. Stomp on their [expletive] hearts, now.
