    I'm pretty surprised that all of these other QB's have went ahead of Mallett. He must really be some special douchebag to last this long.

    Yep. I'm pretty shocked that Clifton didn't retire after we won the Super Bowl, which would've made the offensive line a huge priority. We experimented with Bulaga at LG last year before he settled in as the RT, so I wonder if Colledge is going to be on his way out after the selection of Sherrod. Not the sexiest selection in the world, but definitely a good one. I would've loved to get Carimi, but I was surprised that he lasted as long as he did.

    Lightning in the East and Nashville in the West. I need a week or two off from hockey after the Hawks exit, though.

    I know a lot of people hate the stat for forwards (I'm not exactly fond of it), but he was a minus 24 at Rockford this year. That's horrific. I'm sure he'll get a chance to make the team next year. Worse comes to worse, he's at least one physical guy that we have in the pipeline and we're obviously lacking in that department. I'm just not as excited about him as others are.

    Exactly how I feel as well. Disappointing, yes. But I'm largely over it already. I believe we'll be contending for a Cup again next year.

    Well said, Prizefight. I think shopping Hammer should be a big priority in the offseason. I've just about had enough of his blind passes along the side boards in the defensive zone. I'm sure you could dupe some team into taking him because of how productive he was last year. Very excited to see a lot of Morin next year. I think we can build a decent third line next year in-house. If the cap really is going to go up by that much, I have all of the faith in the world that we'll be back to having solid 3rd and 4th liners next year.

    Game 5 from the Bulls/C's series hurt about a hundred times worse than Game 7 did. In the losses this series, the Hawks were 2/14 on the power play. That'll usually get you beat and sure enough, it did. It was incredibly frustrating to see our PP deteriorate down the stretch of the regular season and into the playoffs.

    I keep hearing he'll end up in LA Which LA team? I could see the Clippers (yes, really) making a serious run at him. yeah i'm sure one of the nba's biggest stars would voluntarily choose to go play for a racist and incompetent owner. Well, maybe he pulls a Wirtz and dies before he's a FA. With their cap situation and young talent, I could see that being a somewhat attractive destination pretty soon.
