    All I know is that Indiana is not a very good basketball team. And I can't wait to hear the IU fans on here scream at me saying it's a rivalry game, blah, blah, blah. They're not that good. Simple as that.

    Wow, we had a tornado warning about halfway through the first half. That was a little bit crazy. And we somehow scored 80 points. Brian Mullins had a solid game for us tonight. Drake beat Illinois State 73-70, so SIU is only 1 game out of 2nd place in the MVC.

    Heh, and of course, Hightower is reffing this Michigan-tOSU game. It seems like whenever Musberger announces a game, he's the lead official. SIU-Indiana State in 40 minutes. I'm sweating buckets, but I'm going to go to it. Time to get over the .500 hump once again. Also, go Drake.

    So what the heck DO you want us to talk about? Can't talk about Eli being good, because he's not. Can't talk about the Giants D being good, because they were only good last night. Can't talk about Belidick being a dick, because everyone knows this already. Perhaps we should talk about Jeff Feagles? Brandon Jacobs, plz. Favre's retirement plz ;) One more year then turn it over to Rodgers. ' awesome, cant wait to beat him 2 more times \:D/ If we can finish 13-3 and the Bears finish 7-9 again, I wouldn't care at all if the Bears were to beat us twice.

It's a shame he only had 14 yards in the Super Bowl - even though almost every one of them were crucial. 14 carries, you mean. And enough of him running over Woodson. I prefer the image of him running over Harrison.

    Just got back from a Super Bowl party...I decided I'd go for the Giants about 15 mins before kickoff. Wooooooooooooooo. And Eli is going to get PAID.

    SIU-Northern Iowa about to get underway in a couple of minutes. If we can somehow pull this road W off, we'll have a chance at getting our first extended winning streak of the season.

    Is it not until next year that everyone makes the tourney. If it starts this year, then yes, I'd say the expectations are too low. I don't know how to fix DePaul. It's sad. They may have been better off playing 2nd banana in C-USA rather than go to the Big East, though I understand their reasoning. i don't know either. jerry wainwright isn't the answer, but i don't know what is. it's simply not a job that anyone who is "up and coming" really wants, and i think the athletic department has grown a reputation of not treating their head coaches very well They need to pick up the scraps from the state the next two years. Illinois is done recruiting in the state. That leaves a lot of talent. Anthony Johnson Diamond Taylor Marcus Jordan Chris Colvin Jack Cooley Paul Bunch Jordan Prosser DeAndre McCamey You need to clean up on that talent. Is that McCamey any relation to the one currently playing for Illinois? Yeah it is his younger brother. Many people think he will be better than Demetri. Figured it was. IU likes Jordan Prosser. I figure you will be in on the younger McCamey too, since you weer a finalist for Demetri. I haven't heard much on that front, but I'm sure you're right. So far in the early going, I've heard that SIU and Wisconsin are the frontrunners for McCamey.

    Heh...it starts at 8 your time on Saturday morning. Good luck :lol: It was hell getting up for it, but it was worth it. Can't go - only current students with active Bruin Cards or those with tickets for the game are allowed in. :( That blows...they let anyone enter the Arena when they were here.

    Deng and Gordon are going to break the bank this summer. This is outstanding leverage for both of them. As for the rest of this season, I hope they continue to sit out games while we struggle to score 70 points a game for the rest of the season.

Sure another pitcher would be nice, but I don't really think it's too big of a hole right now for this team. Why is there no reason Lilly can't repeat? Career 4.46 ERA and 1.34 WHIP with a "career" season at age 31? He spent a lot of his career in the AL East. He's pitching most of his games in one of the weakest, if not THE weakest, divisions in all of baseball. He did have some control problems at times last year, but overall, I thought he was our most consistant starter on the staff. I fully expect him to come close to repeating the numbers he had last year. Don't you think those are hollow numbers though? Although I would appreciate him helping us beat weak teams and win the division again, I would feel very wary about him being our #2 starter in the playoffs. Maybe. I think Hill has to show that he can be the #2 this year, which obviously I believe he can do. A Zambrano-Hill-Lilly rotation definitely isn't anything like a Santana-Pedro-Maine short series rotation, but it's good enough. Heck, if Josh Fogg can pitch decently in the playoffs, why can't Lilly?

    Gotta admit, I love watching UT play. Probably the most fun team to watch in all of college basketball.

    Too bad SIU can't play Evansville every game this year. 59-39 win over the Aces puts us over .500 for the first time since we started 4-3. If we can beat Northern Iowa on the road on Saturday, we have a good chance at having an extended winning streak.

    The atmosphere for a typical home game is usually pretty good, but it's on a completely different level when Creighton is in town. The Indiana game this year had an atmosphere that was really impressive as well. When we went up by 4 late in the game and when Creighton turned the ball over under their basket, it was probably the loudest I've heard the place get in my year and a half here. It was pretty awesome. And the refs are seriously doing everything they can to help Duke win this game. Just an awful, awful, awful call heading into the final media timeout.
