They have different covers for each system. Matt Ryan is on PS3, Owen Schmitt (?) is on PSP, DeSean Jackson is on PS2 and for some unknown reason, NCAA is celebrating its debut on the Wii by having Sparty the mascot on the cover. Stupid, stupid, stupid. I'll probably hold off on a PS3 until Madden comes out. So that means I'm relegated to having DeSean Jackson on the cover of my game. Awesome ](*,) (although Matt Ryan isn't much better). Not to get off subject (okay yes to get off subject) but I read story the other day that Sony has lost over a billion on the PS3 and unless things turnaround soon are thinking of becoming solely a game designer and not coming out with anymore consoles. They're the ones that charged over $600 for a new console, so it's not like that's shattering news or anything. I don't know the latest about price cuts (I assume they'll probably go down to $350 eventually), but I don't want to wait another year or so to get a next-gen system. Almost all of my friends that have 360's have had problems with them, so I don't really want to invest $350 in a system that could be faulty. I'm not a diehard Sony supporter by any stretch, but I plan on learning from my friends' mistakes.

I don't think we should count on him making an impact for the rest of this year either, but this is some encouraging news. I really like the fact that he seemed relaxed and managed to smile after the outing. The poor guy's been on pins and needles all year long. That's definitely part of his problem IMO.

You wouldn't have to give up much to get him is my guess. I only want Maddux if we can get a front-line starter as well. Otherwise if we were to acquire just Maddux, there would be no doubt in my mind that Lou would have Gallagher as the odd man out in the rotation. Then you're stuck with a rotation of Z-Dempster-Lilly-Maddux-Marquis.

Absolutely, I've been saying this for a while now. I guarantee you'd only have to give up 1 or 2 lower level prospects to get Maddux, so why would not do it? He'd be a better 5th starter than Marquis and that's all we really need if we trade for someone like CC/Harden/Burnett. That's a pretty good rotation.

Everybody says that every time we go through a little rought patch. or in the case of erik, a bad inning Nice to know I have fans. And come on.. can you blame me? Can you blame any of us for expecting the worst around every corner? You do realize what team we root for, right? You sound like a fun guy. I mean, Truffle is calling you out about how overtly negative you are. That's like Flava Flav calling someone "really black" hey you haven't been paying attention this year... i've been one of the more positive people about this year's team. Yes you are. I'm impressed. Even more impressive is the fact that I haven't been too pessimistic about this team either. Some of you really need to get a grip. We're 4-7 in our last 11 games. So what? There's a reason we're 18 games over .500 and that's one good thing about having such a good record. When injuries happen, you have some breathing room before you get your team back afloat. I'm really not worried about this team at all. Let's not forget that the White Sox are a pretty good team, especially at home. It's not like these are embarrassing losses. Losing 2 of 3 to the Reds and the Nationals was much more embarrassing than this series has been so far.
