When 2 runs score with 3 outs having already been made, yes, we're going to get pissed at the umps. Get pissed at the crap offense, not the umps. There was no concrete evidence that the tag was applied before he got to the bag. Meanwhile, Edmonds and Derosa with worm killers in the infield. This team is choking, period! Well the ball beat him. The Cubs continue to be the only team in the majors that doesn't consistently get that call. And he was out. The thing that sucks about this is that no one outside of us will remember how good this team was for six months if we lose this game or series. They'll just remember the crappy October games You don't know that though. You only know the Cubs get bad calls because you watch all the Cubs games. I'm sure if you watched 162 Royals games, you could say the same thing that they're the only team in baseball that doesn't get calls to go their way either.

Exactly. This team has absolutely sucked in these six playoff games. I highly doubt our "awesome" offense does anything against Kuroda now that he has a 2 run lead to work with.

Should be runners at 1st and 2nd at worst if we had a shortstop that had just a little amount of range.

NIU's going to come up short. Good effort, but they easily should've won this game.

NIU held to 3 yet again. 13-9 Tennessee with 1:30 left in the 3rd.

Nicholson's out for the rest of the game for NIU, so the Huskies are going to try to beat the Vols with a quarterback that can't throw the ball at all. Start of the 2nd half, still tied at 3.

NIU is hanging in there with Tennessee despite bad quarterback play from Dan Nicholson. 3-3 with around 6:30 left in the half.

I was very impressed with Illinois today. The defense did a great job from the 2nd quarter on as they finally got pressure on a quarterback. They forced a few turnovers today, which was huge. And Juice was exceptional today. Can't really complain about too much on that end. SIU pulled an Iowa State as they led North Dakota State 20-0, but the offense fell asleep once again in the 2nd half and the defense was on the field for the majority of the half as NDSU came back to win 35-27. I expected to lose, but blowing a 20 point lead is pretty unacceptable. Oh well, at least we beat Northern Iowa last week and we got the hard part of our schedule out of the way. Hopefully NIU can put up a respectable effort against the Vols.

Once again, absolutely no pressure on Threet on 3rd and long. Thankfully, Vontae makes a very nice play in breaking up the pass. Time to take the lead.
