  1. The Vikings will also play the Steelers with Polamalu and unless something else happens, the Seahawks with Hasselbeck. Every team gets some breaks and for the most part divisional schedules are as equal as they can be. Not to mention the Bears lucked out against Pittsburgh without Polamalu and the Seahawks without Hasselbeck and Lofa. And we were missing Urlacher, Tinoisamoa, and Clark for both of those games. You have to look at both sides of the coin. You can't just say we lucked out due to key injuries on the opposing team when we ourselves had key injuries. In the case of Hasselbeck's injury, its not like he was replaced by some nobody. Seneca Wallace is a pretty good QB. There's no such thing as a good backup QB in the NFL. Seneca Wallace really isn't that good. Your first point is fair but Seattle was missing their best player on both sides of the football in that game. I'm not bashing the Bears by any means, you have to face the teams you're dealt with. Kick the opponent while they're down. Detroit is going to be without Calvin Johnson and possibly Stafford this week, so I'll gladly take that.
  2. He didn't explicitly say that, but that's probably true. Regardless, his point is correct. Our schedules are all basically the same and we get 'rewarded' due to our miserable last year by getting to face TB and Dallas.
  3. Yeah for real. NFL needs to do something so that the NFC North teams play basically the same teams. Fair point with you guys playing the Lions, but the schedule isn't exactly the same. We get Atlanta and Philly, while you get TB and Dallas. That definitely favors GB, imo. Meanwhile the Vikings get to have their last game of the year against a Giants team that will have probably locked up the division a month earlier, and Carolina. So I think they have it the best of all. But yeah...that's just the way it goes...and I'm not worried since the Packers suck. ;) The Vikings will also play the Steelers with Polamalu and unless something else happens, the Seahawks with Hasselbeck. 4. Nice to get a win in regulation against a conference foe.
  5. Our offensive line probably got worse.
  6. Diamond Taylor transferred to SIU over the weekend. Stay out of trouble, young man and you should tear up the Valley for a few years.
  7. "Rose also has good defensive instincts on the perimeter" lol He had that one good instinct against Rondo in Game 6. Other than that, no.

But yeah...that's just the way it goes...and I'm not worried since the Packers suck. ;) These next few weeks are the time for us to make ground because Minnesota faces Baltimore, Pittsburgh, and then they face us. We play Detroit and Cleveland before that rematch and then we have the Bucs and Cowboys after that. We absolutely have to take advantage of this slate because our schedule gets progressively tougher in December.
  9. Really? 3 of our first 4 games were against the Bears, the Bengals, and the Vikings. Yes the Rams were an easy opponent but this is our second easy game of the year in five games. 'ANOTHER' shouldn't be capitalized. TB and Dallas should help us out in November, though. I guess that's the beauty of finishing 6-10.
  10. There wasn't enough contact to warrant a flag of that magnitude.
  11. There's been more atrocious illegal contact calls and pass interference calls this year than any year I can really remember. Thankfully the Dolphins pulled that one out. That would've been a BS way to lose the game.
  12. We need better goalie play if we're gonna be more special than last year. Khabi was pretty good when he needed to be last year, I don't see it from Huet yet. And the thing that sucks is we can't go out and get a goalie unless his contract is very short. Exactly. Don't get me wrong, this offense is phenomenal. But we're only going to go as far as how well Huet plays. I don't like our chances if he's our starting goalie the rest of the season. Hell of a win though. When I got a text saying it was 5-3, I definitely thought we were going to come back and at least salvage a point out of it. It's nice never being out of games with this team.
  13. The Colts are really good and the Titans defense is horrendous.
  14. Mike Nolan.
  15. Mike Brown screwed up that play and the Austin TD late in the 4th as well.
  16. I hope so, but I don't see it happening. They're a pretty damn good football team.
  17. Considering the towels were being waved behind him, I really dont see how it matters. http://www.stltoday.com/stltoday/sports/stories.nsf/cardinals/story/7814EBF67D15291B8625764A000A41DA?OpenDocument Wainwright's also forgetting something called 'home field advantage.' The Dodgers can do whatever they choose when it comes to what color the towels are. Go whine about it somewhere else.
  18. Tomorrow is a must-win for the Dodgers. Obviously it's a must-win for the Cards too because they're going with Wainwright and they'd be in an 0-2 hole, but I don't like LA's chances if they lose to the Cards tomorrow. I don't see how they win Game 3 with Padilla going to the mound.
  19. Forget all of that. They rubbed it in our faces last year when we won 97 games and they weren't close to making the playoffs. We're allowed to root for them to fail.
  20. The Rams one is great.
  21. Dick Stockton has ruined the division series for me.
  22. I figured that news would excite some Packer fans. :D It probably does, although I'm not sure why. There is a reason nobody signed Tauscher. Its kind of like the Bears after they let Fred Miller go, and then re-signed him when the season started last year. If I recall he played quite horribly. Yes, there is a reason why no one signed him. He tore his ACL midway through the year last year and he just started resuming football activities a couple of weeks ago. Oh yeah I forgot about that. Still don't see it making much of a difference. He's always been a good pass blocker. Run blocking, not so much anymore. At the very worst, he's a better alternative than what we have.
  23. Bring him and Levi Jones in. We need all of the help that we can get. If Tausch is healthy, he's a gigantic improvement over Barbre. Clifton needs to get healthy so Colledge can move back to guard. He's atrocious as a left tackle. I figured that news would excite some Packer fans. :D It probably does, although I'm not sure why.
