Not to mention he could've ran for it, as well. I'm sick of settling for FG's inside the opponents' five yard line. It happened a lot last week (we were 1/5 for TD's in the red zone) and it just happened again.

Hard to say. We don't have a billion penaltys so that is good. We have not punted yet, and the only time GB got stopped was because we came out running the ball 400 times. I'm just trying to find faith that they can beat the Vikings next week. Limit the sacks and limit the drops. Of course the limiting the sacks part is much easier said than done. We could have beat them at the Metrodome if we didn't beat ourselves.

We've had a lot of stupid penalties. A 12 man on the field penalty when Cleveland was punting was unacceptable. It didn't come back to bite us but against a real team, that definitely could. That first drive was just so mind-boggling, though. McCarthy is one of the most stubborn coaches I've seen when it comes to trying to establish the run. Bad news is Jermichael Finley is on crutches. He's been a nice bright spot this year.

Mike McCarthy can kill himself. 10 runs to 1 pass on that first drive. Then a stupid challenge by challenging the spot which almost never gets reversed. I can't wait until this buffoon is gone.

Watching College Football Final, and May and Holtz were doing the segment where Rece Davis is the judge and he has the two debate about a certain matter. He had them debate about the government stepping in to regulate the BCS and watching the two talk about politics (Holtz in particular, of course) was one of the funniest things I've seen in a while. I don't know how anyone can take Lou Holtz seriously. He's really quite the funny man.

And what makes you think Iowa can compete with those teams? Florida and Alabama don't have great offenses but the mighty Hawkeyes have struggled to win against UNI, Ark St, Michigan, and MSU. and the mighty tide have struggled with south carolina and tennessee. and the mighty gators have struggled against arkansas and mississippi state. Fair point. I'm cool with whatever as long as Iowa is ranked behind Boise St. and Cincy in the BCS.

Here comes the inevitable choke job by MSU. TCU looks awesome. If they take care of business at home against Utah, they should finish undefeated. Boise's win over Oregon keeps looking better and better with each passing week.

Basically, they were talking about NASCAR when the question of where Juan Pablo Montoya has been since he's out of the Top 5. Griese said something like, "He must be out getting a taco." Question is will he get a slap in the wrist or will he actually be suspended by ESPN?

Meh, I guess. I've taken a liking to Randy Shannon and that program. They definitely took a step back today with that game. SIU handily disposed of Youngstown St. 27-8 but we lost our starting QB due to an arm injury in the 1st quarter. It's going to be tough to beat South Dakota St. at SDSU in a couple of weeks with our backup. That game is going to decide who wins the MVC as SDSU beat UNI today.
