  1. It would've been nice if we won against Indiana and Purdue. The defense actually looks like a legitimate unit today.
  2. Illinois looks like a completely different team. And watch this be the week where Iowa blows out their opponent.
  3. Yep. Our PP has some issues too.
  4. Boise St. was having their way with Louisiana Tech but Tech's making this game very interesting. Game's on ESPN2.
  5. Trade for DWade around the midseason mark? Can't they just wait to sign him? They could, but give 'em Salmons. If the Bulls think they want to get out of the first round, you gotta get Wade. But you are right, you don't have to do this now. But you could get outbid for him in the offseason. Isn't Salmon's deal only through this season? If so, why would they take him for Wade? A trade for Wade seemingly would require the Bulls to give up players that they need. It doesn't make much sense to do that when they can just wait until the offseason and sign him without giving up anyone. Salmons has a player option after this year, but it's assumed he'll decline it and become a FA at the end of the year. As for Wade, there's a 0% chance he's traded this season.
  6. By exciting, you mean slow-paced and boring. Outside of the SA game and tonight, we've been a dreadful team to watch at the beginning part of the season. That doesn't take anything away from this win though. Our defensive intensity is much improved this year, which is real good to see. Anytime you can get a win at the Q, it's real impressive. I just hope this team can start scoring more points, though. Wins=exciting. Wins vs the best teams in the league=even more exciting. I'll agree with that.
  7. The period from 2002-2007 was pretty dreadful in terms of the PP scoring. We need Toews and Hossa back. Bad.

  9. The regret should be on Pryors part. OSU offense and coaching staff is not catering to Pyrors strengths, i.e. more zone reads, bubble screens, etc. He'd be a much better qb under a better run spread offense program. I don't think that's the whole problem. He doesn't seem like the smartest football player in the world. Got to have intelligence to play QB, and I don't think he's got enough there. True but he made a bad mistake not going to Michigan and playing to his strengths.
  10. An experienced defenseman sure would be nice.
  11. I won't go so far to say a HOF type career, but I agree with your overall view. Or at least until we get a change at the top where we have a GM that's more committed in getting good offensive linemen in here and a coach that isn't a bumbling idiot.
  12. We'll probably find out in a couple of weeks when we play Dallas. That'll answer a lot of questions because if we lose that game, we'll be 0-4 against teams with a winning record and 1-4 against teams that are average or better. It's a problem when we're two months into the season and we don't really know the identity of our football team besides having a real miserable offensive line and a real good quarterback. The Dallas and San Francisco games will answer a lot of questions about the Packers.
  13. Another 20% shooting night for Fish. I'm just relieved we won. It sure beats the alternative. We might want to make it more of a focal point to put the ball in the hoop if we want any continued success this year.
  14. Heh, Rondo tried that last year. Didn't work so well for him. Jennings failed too. Dear God, make your FT's.
  15. We're either going to OT or we're going to lose, aren't we?
  16. Wasn't it last year when Michigan St. lost to a D-2 school? It worked out ok for them. 2007. Lost to Grand Valley State in 2OT Damn it. Carry on then.
  17. Pargo's had a very solid game off the bench tonight.
  18. Wasn't it last year when Michigan St. lost to a D-2 school? It worked out ok for them.
  19. 20 and 14 for Deng after 3. Three real good games so far this season for Luol. That's extremely nice to see. Luckily we're playing Milwaukee and not a decent team. Thanks for letting us get back into this one.
  20. They have some pretty good outside shooters that Paul can kick it out too, though. We really don't. David West is a better interior scorer than I think we've ever had. David West is a homeless man's Chris Bosh. He's a nice player but he's not a 2nd banana on a really good team. What CP3 did with that team the last two years was superhuman and now with Peja a shell of his former self his supporting cast is among the worst in the league. I agree with you but it also goes to show you our history, or lack thereof, of good big men. There's no question CP3 is one of the best players in the league and Rose has a lot of growing up to do if he wants to be as good as him. I can deal with struggling to score points against San Antonio and Boston because those are two of the best defensive teams in the league. What we saw on Sunday against Miami was an embarrassment and this 'performance' makes me want to throw up. The Bucks suck, there's no other way around it. We're being shelved at our home court to a team that has one good player. That's kind of maddening.

  22. Dear God, we're down by double digits in the first half against the Milwaukee Bucks without Michael Redd.
  23. It's just simply quite unbelievable. Tampa Bay now? What the hell. For the third time this has happened...same teams. Well, technically, Tampa Bay is not the same. The difference between the Bears and Packers schedules (other than playing 2 games against each other) is Atlanta/Philly vs. Tampa Bay/Dallas. Right, which I've pointed out in a couple of other threads. Again that's our reward for finishing 6-10 last year.
  24. I'm sure he does. But he's almost 29 now and has probably shot like 600,000 jumpers in his life. It's not going to get much better. Hey, I didn't say that.
