SIU rolled over Missouri St. 44-24. 14 of Missouri State's points came against our 2nd and 3rd string defense in the 4th quarter. Nonetheless, another impressive performance by the Salukis. One game left against SEMO next week and then it's onto the playoffs.

SIU scored over 90 in the season opener tonight against UT-Martin. Nice to see us actually pushing the ball this year with the talented, athletic players that we have. Lowery should have realized after last year's debacle that talented players don't mesh well with the half-court offense that we've employed for so many years.

Thank God. We were sleepwalking the final 30 minutes of the game but luckily we still got two points out of it.

It was so obvious that Havlat was a contract-year player last year. There's no chance Havlat plays 70 productive games this year. No doubt it was the right move to replace him with Hossa.

This is what I am hoping for :twisted:. If the Cowboys can move to 7-2 after the way the season began things will be looking really good. The D has been great as of late and Jay Ratliff has been a stud. Yeah, that's a pretty scary looking matchup for Rodgers. I expect lots of 3-steppers, quick stuff. McCarthy forgot what a three-step drop was back in 2007. It's unreal how we don't see more three-step drops and more of the traditional west-coast offense since that's what the personnel that we have is best at. But then again, it is Mike McCarthy.

Kirk Hinrich absolutely sucks. I'm not overreacting over one game either, this guy does nothing useful on the offensive side of the floor. I thought we'd actually score 100 tonight. Whoops.
