  1. lololol, the last 30 seconds in the Illini game just summed up the entire year. What an awful football team.
  2. Nicely done, Juice. Nicely done. Get Charest in there already.
  3. That was short-lived.
  4. Wow, Illinois with a lead.
  5. Two words: John. Shoop.
  6. I got a text saying he did. We better be going after them if they're going to play this way.
  7. Ahman Green is the latest Packer to come back for a second time. Who's next? KGB? Marco Rivera? Mike Wahle? At least it'll be nice to have a RB that can catch passes out of the backfield.
  8. God. When do the Packers have to play an actual football team? Wait. Don't they essentially play the same teams the Bears do? All the same except for the Bears getting Philly and Atlanta while GB gets Dallas and TB. Philly and Dallas are pretty equal, but when it comes to Atlanta and TB, that is automatically one more loss for the Bears and one more win for GB. Then throw in the fact that most of the tough teams GB does play are at Lambeau. Oh well, assuming Minnesota takes the division, its not really going to matter which of the Bears or Packers get the WC, because neither will go anywhere in the playoffs. That's the beauty of finishing 6-10. We get the 3rd place teams in the NFC East and South. Again, it's not like we've had the Redskins schedule. We've already had three division games, including one against the Bears and Vikings each. Not to mention you can call Cincy an actual team as well. This is the 'easy' part of our schedule because after the Thanksgiving game against Detroit, it gets very tough for the final 5 games.
  9. Pace is still a pretty good pass blocker but his run-blocking leaves a lot to be desired.
  10. Don't make Derek Anderson look adequate. Do the same thing you did to Detroit a couple of days ago to the Clowns.
  11. Yeah the way it was said was dumb. I think he was meaning more that he would rather have a guy who manages the game than a guy who gun slings it everywhere and has a lot of turnovers (as well as big plays). I would agree with that point. No, it's [expletive] stupid. That team would probably be 6-0 with Cutler. The Bears would not be 6-0 with Orton It's not like the Bears are 6-0 with Cutler either. Correct, because football is a team game where one guy isn't always the difference. There are a dozen QB's you could put on the Broncos and they'd do just as well. The media is turning Orton into the NFL's David Eckstein here Agree to a point, but the QB always gets the brunt of the blame or gets all of the success when his team is doing good. That's no different with Orton right now. He's in a real good situation but how many people were saying that was a good situation a little more than a month ago? 3 people? He's done everything he's needed to do this year as he has a QB rating of over 100, a 10 to 1 TD to INT ratio, and 1500 yards on the season in six games. You can spin it any way you want to, but that's pretty good.

  13. That was a pretty impressive throw by Orton. Great catch by Scheffler too. I could use a Rivers INT.
  14. Why are the Raiders trading McFadden? They've apparently made everyone available except Asomugha. Good luck trying to trade Asomugha's massive contract anyway. I wouldn't want that. I don't even know why we're really focusing on RB's. I think Grant would be more than adequate if we could get some damn blocking for him. If we're going to try to trade for someone, see how interested Cleveland would be in giving up Joe Thomas for some draft picks.
  15. Why are the Raiders trading McFadden? They've apparently made everyone available except Asomugha.
  16. So apparently we worked out Ahman Green and Dominic Rhodes today. Why not just go after Run DMC or Steven Jackson if you're looking to get another back?
  17. I would say Minn, Dal, and SF are all as good or better than the Packers. Going 5-1 would be tremendous for you guys. 49ers enter the stretch that determines their season. Got @Hou, @Ind, Tenn, Chi, @GB and Jack. Got to get one of two on the road against Indy and Houston and then win at home. If we can do that we will be in good position to win the position. None of those six are going to be easy though. Tennessee is obviously down right now but they will likely be healthier when we play them and we can't really dominate their secondary unless Crabtree is able dominate instantly which I highly doubt. We get all three of those opponents at home while the real easy part of that schedule are road games. I don't think Dallas is better than us at all. Minnesota is better than us, but we played a pretty brutal game a couple of weeks ago and they only beat us by a TD. I know you guys will have Gore back by then, but that's still a game we should win if we want to make the postseason.
  18. Illinois' offense during the Sugar Bowl year in 2001 was pretty good. Other than that, I'm as amazed as you are how this guy has a job in the NFL.
  19. Packers next six games: @ CLE VS MIN @ TB VS DAL VS SF @ DET We absolutely have to go at least 5-1 in that stretch because the schedule gets progressively tougher after that. If we go 5-1 in that stretch and win just 1 of 3 against the Ravens, Bears, and Steelers, we should be in pretty good shape. There is absolutely no excuse for not winning at least five games there.
  20. Forte has Ryan Grant syndrome. He doesn't have a lot of holes to run through but when he does get a hole, he looks pretty tentative in hitting it. A good line would more than likely cure that. I'm always leery of placing blame on a RB, especially when he's had previous success in the league. In Forte's case, he had a pretty solid rookie year so I wouldn't look to single him out. He'll be fine but like us, the Bears have some line issues.
  21. Yep, family weekend here. Should be a good turnout (at least for a I-AA game) especially because it is family weekend as well as coming off a gigantic win against UNI.
  22. Please end in a tie.
  23. me too, or a long lynch run for a td. That'd work with me too.
  24. I could use a Braylon Edwards TD here.
  25. Eagles about to lose to Oakland. That could be gigantic for wild card purposes down the road for teams like us, the Bears, and Atlanta.
