Are you going to tell everyone what they like or don't like on here now as well? It's going to be tough to get a win at Heinz but if there was ever a year and a time to do it, now would be it. If we win this game, we're in pretty good shape at running the table.

I can see both sides of the argument. It's just as a fan and hypothetical coach/GM I would never want players who will take plays off when he feels like it. Give me the guys who are so competitive and driven that one bad play is too much for them. So because some boob on Carolina said Moss quit on his team, that means it's accurate? I'm not buying it. Moss hasn't been a problem at all in New England and it sounds more like sour grapes from Gamble's end than anything else. Give me Moss over T.O. any day of the week.

The 04-05 season was great and it erased a lot of the bad memories from the seasons prior to that one. There were definitely a lot of good moments in the middle part to the later part of the decade, but we won a grand total of one playoff series during this decade. That's an unsuccessful ten years, especially after winning six championships the decade prior. Of course no one expected us to do that again but when you only win one series in ten years, that's pretty bad. People can say what they want about the BG thing and I realize I've beaten it to death, but that situation was handled poorly. Offering Deng more money a couple of offseasons ago was absurd when Gordon was the better player between the two. Shelling out money to guys like Nocioni and Hinrich was unnecessary and unwarranted too. It was just foolish to expect the guys on our team during the 06-07 run to get better and become superstars. This decade would have been multitudes different if Paxson actually owned up to a move and traded for a superstar like Garnett a couple of years ago.

The day would have been perfect, but I won't complain. Still, it's as close enough to being perfect as it gets. As long as we beat Seattle in two weeks, we're in. Have to be happy about that.

Next to Patrick Lalime of course. I'm sure you've answered this plenty of times but how the hell can you be a Cubs, Bulls, Blackhawks, Packers fan and be from NW Indiana. Actually nevermind don't bother answering. I'm not from NW Indiana, I'm from DeKalb. The Bulls were the first team I liked followed by the Packers. Favre was the reason why I became a Packers fan. Then I hopped on the Cubs in 98 and I was always a casual Hawks fan. I know quite a few people that follow that pattern.

The MAC isn't a conference that takes much for a complete turnaround. They've had 7 champions in 9 years, and 9 schools have won or tied for the division in the last 5 years. That's a good point but again, Buffalo was epically bad before he came there. I think the coaching turnover rate in that conference is also a big reason for why it's much easier to win in that conference almost right away as compared to most. All of the real good coaches get plucked away immediately. I guarantee you Buffalo will fade all the way back to the ranks of the obscure now that Gill's gone. Sorry to pick on Andy, but I see them being about as bad as Ball St. was this past year. I don't think he's a program-changing coach for Kansas by any means, but he should have them competing for seven to eight wins a year. if 8 wins is an average season for KU, that's program changing. Well 5-7 this year for Mangino was horrible. I think Gill can get 7-8 wins a year, especially playing in the North.

Yea looks like a good hire, but until we get somebody with half a damn clue to fix the D, its not going to matter. No question. I know we were playing the likes of Cincy's defense and Fresno State, but the offense looked much better the later on we went into the season. I'm just hoping Illinois can get more consistent production out of that unit next year. But in those same two games, the defense gave up 48 and 53. That's bad. They should have just completely purged the staffs on both sides of the football if they wanted to make a real meaningful move (besides firing Zooker, of course).

Again, it must be reiterated how terrible Buffalo was before Gill became the coach there. Buffalo was consistently one of the five worst programs in I-A each and every year before he took over. He had a 'down year' this year by going 5-7. Five years ago, 5-7 would have been amazing for the Bulls. He's a good coach. No, he's not Jim Harbaugh good but I'd be happy with the hire if I were a KU fan.

Arizona could very well need to win to have a better seed. That's true but I don't see the Vikings losing to the Panthers or Bears though. There's still the matter of 3rd and 4th seeds. If Arizona's preference in who they would rather play is Minnesota they may need to win in the last week to ensure they get the No. 3 seed over the East division winner and thus in the second round get Minnesota instead of N.O. In other words, just beat the Steelers next week and we won't have to worry about the Week 17 game. This has been a great day for us so far with Dallas and ATL losing. It'd be a near-perfect day if the Eagles beat the Giants tonight.

Unfortunately, I didn't get to see any of this one but I got a text from the updates that the Hawks give out and it said Kane left in the first period. How significant was the injury? Niemi has been one of the best backups in the league. I've been thrilled with how he's performed this year.

Nova had an upset or two coming. They really haven't looked all that impressive. A below average St. Joe's team had them on the ropes before they drained a couple of threes in the late going a few nights ago.

Yeah him and his soon to be 9-4 team are so awful. This just proves the everyones fans irrationally rip at their coaches. It's not irrational. We lead the league in penalties and we have one of the worst ST units in the league, which is usually indicative of a head coach. Speaking of irrationality, you're saying the game is already over when the Bears have all of the momentum and they're only down by six at the half when we should have finished the job very early in the half.
