    If I don't get ring night tickets on Ticketmaster, I'm not going to be able to go anyway. I completely forgot that SIU's homecoming is that weekend and I've already made it a point to be there for a few days. Of course, that would certainly change if I could luck into a pair on October 9.

    Neither can Mississippi Actually we can....although the only reason why is they teach us a little ditty when you are in kindergarten here: "M-I-crooked letter-crooked letter-I-crooked letter-crooked letter-I-humpback-humpback-I." They taught that in my school in central IL too. Yep, they did in northern IL as well.

    Soto is dealing with an injury, and the season is over. The more Koyie Hill, the better at this point. Wellington Castillo, please. I hope Soto is just shut down for the rest of the season.

    The best part about the last few days was how all of these Cardinal fans came out of the woodwork. Where have they been most of the year? It took them a fight to regain interest in a team that's been hovering around first place for most of the year? Now they're all acting like the division is in the bag. Never mind that there's still over 45 games left in the season and that they have a slim, one-game lead in the division. Remember when they beat us on Sunday night when it took a homer in extras to save one game out of three at Wrigley? Rooney acted like they won the World Series on his radio call and so did many of the Cards players. It's extremely easy to see where Phillips was coming from. I don't know how Cubs fans can hold that against him, but ok.

    If somebody kicked you in the back with metal spikes you might be upset for a couple days. If that's your definition of being "a little bitch" then I guess you're right. If that garbage happened to Dempster this board would be melting down right now. Carpenter's a repeat offender in the bitching and moaning column.
