  1. The Bills are really bad. We played a pretty sub-par first half and yet we still won by 4 TD's. Clay Matthews is a man. Next Monday should be interesting.
  2. lol, SIU lost to SEMO at home. Looks like our streak of making the playoffs the last eight years will come to an end.
  3. So apparently announcers are going to make excuses for Brantley the whole season.
  4. Go Vols as well.
  5. Different QB for NIU. Harnish is much better than Grady, who was the starter against Iowa State. I figured that was going to be a pretty close game. Well then what the hell is wrong with your coach? The dude against ISU was atrocious. Nobody knows the answer to that. I have no clue how he started that game. He was beyond atrocious.

  7. Bowling Green will make it 4. I think they'll be able to win at least two out of IU, Illinois and Purdue.
  8. Because Michigan and ND are a big rivalry game every season and without fail the winner becomes ranked no matter how bad they actually are. People might want to start thinking about that in future years.
  9. Except for the fact that most people prefer watching on TV. Not to mention that the bad seats in many NFL stadiums will cost you over $100 a ticket.
  10. The latter, but fair enough, I guess.
  11. I remember when we hired Q, some of the talk was that he couldn't win in the big games, couldn't win in the playoffs. You can't win the big games, until suddenly you do win the big games. He's been the right guy at the right time for the Hawks. He still has the stigma that he can't beat Detroit in the playoffs. His alltime record in the playoffs against Detroit is 6-20 and his regular season record against Detroit (not including last season) is 21-49-12. Detroit has also beat a Quenneville coached team in the playoffs during each of their last 4 Stanely Cup championship runs. Seriously?
  12. Because it's presented by BP? But WHY?
  13. Yeah but I thought the Packers were the best match, making the playoffs almost as often as the Braves, and only winning 1 title each, in the mid-90's. I think the Packers are much better match for the Cardinals. A sanctimonious fan base that thinks it is the center of the heartland of its sport. Disagree completely. We're never lucky. Some of our postseason losses rival that of the Cubs compared to the Cardinals. We're the perfect compliment to what the Braves were in the mid 90's and the 2000's.
  14. He's done. That goes right up there with the Jamal Reynolds pick, as far as busts go.
  15. Yeah, but you can't count on the Packers finding that guy. I sure as hell hope they do, but it's not a guarantee. This week should certainly be interesting, personnel-wise for the Packers. Sure they can....lose your franchise QB, oh here's another one down on your depth chart. The Packers always find that player they need. It's weird that you said that after referencing 2005 when they went 4-12. I didn't say it always leads to victories. Also funny you reference my reference when its one of only 2 losing seasons the Packers have had in the last 18 years. Yipee, we're the Atlanta Braves of the NFL.
  16. That's the guy I'd be targeting. Either him or Marshawn. But how realistic is it for Dallas to trade one of their backs to another conference contender?
  17. Grant out for the year after suffering a broken ankle. [expletive]. Time to get on the phone with Dallas or Buffalo to try to get one of their backs.
  18. Here's an unofficial look at the schedules for future seasons: http://www.johnnyroadtrip.com/schedules/nfl_future_nfcn.htm
  19. With Grant on my ffb team, I'm more concerned with the health of a Packer than I like to be normally. Unfortunately, it's not sounding very good... As long as he's back after Week 6, I think we'll be all right. The schedule gets progressively tougher after that as we face Minnesota twice in four weeks, the Jets on Halloween, Dallas, and Atlanta.
  20. Kind of stinks that Grant's going to be out this week, but Jackson should have a good day against a pretty bad Buffalo rush defense. There's no such thing as an easy win in the NFL, so we better not treat this as such.
  21. They had a -1 turnover ratio. Whoops. Not sure why I thought Detroit only had 1 turnover.
  22. Humorous. Nothing like overreacting to one game. Well the offense did suck the entire pre-season. But yes, JJ is an overreactor. Most teams in the NFL struggle on offense in Week 1. The first week of the season usually holds some of the ugliest games of the year. Washington has a pretty good defense too.
  23. I'm usually a firm believer in going for it on 4th and goal from the 1. Worst case scenario is the other team gets the ball with 99 yards to go. Not to mention they usually will waste a down, or even two, running a sneak to just get out of their own end zone. But when you have the chance to take the lead with eight minutes to go against a team that hasn't been able to move the ball on you all half, you take the three points and grab the lead. I thought it was a pretty easy decision to kick the field goal. That being said, I don't understand why people are still talking about that play. They won the game. It was a stupid decision to go for it, but they won the game despite having a minus three turnover ratio. Take the W, never speak of it again, and go to Dallas next week. That's what I'd do, at least.
  24. Yeah, that's a real bad lineup for this upcoming week.
  25. Humorous. Nothing like overreacting to one game.
