  1. It doesn't matter whether Turk is right or not. It's funny to me that it is widely assumed the Sammy took steroids (I wouldn't be the least bit shocked either way), but there is no proof. There's not even a guy saying he gave Sammy steroids or saw him do it like there is for Bonds, McGwire, Sheffield, Palmeiro, Pudge, etc. It just seems a little premature to throw him in the group with those guys. Again, I'm not saying he didn't use.
  2. LIKE THIS! That was terrrrrrrrible. Thank you. Thank you, very much.
  3. I had WVU mopping the floor with Iowa.
  4. HAHAHAHA! I hate Iowa! And I hate Steve Alford (as a coach). Keep him away from his alma mater. I picked Iowa, but that's a loss I'll gladly take!
  5. The bold is my entire point. You can't just simply justify keeping Delmon down because you want to delay his option clock. Especially, when he's likely to outproduce everyone they have on that ML team with the POSSIBLE exception of Huff and Gomes. That's when it crosses over to being cheap and not putting the best possible team on the field.
  6. No DH? First time all spring for the Cubs right?
  7. Heh. And I did pick Wisconsin in 1 of my brackets. That must have been a clicking error.
  8. I have OSU advancing to the elite 8, so it's imperative they win today. I can somewhat stomach the Badgers losing. In my 2 brackets I had OSU losing in the Sweet 16, one to Oklahoma (oops), and the other to Florida.
  9. OSU and Iowa will win, but I don't know why anyone picked the Badgers. Slumping, overachieving team against an underachieving and athletic Zona team.
  10. BTW, I went 13-3 yesterday in 2 brackets (only 1 loss was the same in both). I coulda sworn I was like 10-6. Didn't realize I picked GW and TA&M.
  11. Nearly all Big Ten early. OSU, Iowa, and Wisconsin all going at it. Wonder what game is being shown in the midwest.
  12. Like I said, earlier, they did that last year. He's been ready to be one of the best 3-4 players on that team since July of last year. How long is too long?
  13. WHO, WHO, WHO...HOOSIERS!! Agreed. Good offense and terrible defense. Gonzaga also plays some poor defense so it should be interesting. Earl was great and Vaden gutted out a great performance considering his physical limitations. Strickland with the HUGE defensive play at the end. Killingsworth was killing me with some of those misses underneath. Good win. I wonder how Vaden's ankle is going to react and how serious Strickland's shoulder injury is. Also, make free throws, please. Yeah, Killer has had trouble point blank recently. He's getting position, getting the touches, just not putting it in the hoop. He would be a lot better if he could go to his right hand also. I don't know how we are gonna matchup with Morrison. I think Killer can get Batista into foul trouble, though. I say let Morrison get his, and don't let guys like Raivio beat you.
  14. Yeah, they're stupid. With Huff moving back to 3B, RF is open for Young. I'm guessing this means they want more of Travis Lee and Sean Burroughs in the linuep, who hold the key to them turning their franchise around! I think they made the right decision - even w/ Huff moving to 3rd they still have Crawford, Gomes, Baldelli, and Gathright in the OF/DH. Spending another month or 2 in the minors will not hurt Young as a player and they will control him for another year. Gathright is a 4th OF. They should go Crawford, Baldelli, Young, with Gomes at DH. And if the franchise didn't have a history like they have, I would agree with you. They are going nowhere, and it's mainly because the way they overvalue their young hitters. There's no way a team with that low payroll and going nowhere in the toughest division in baseball should still be paying Lugo and Huff. Especially, when they have what are possibly the 2 most talented prospects behind them (Huff has been in the OF the majority of the last couple years).
  15. They did that last year. Let the kid play.

  17. Earl the Pearl! What a game for Calloway! Jr. college transfers are great. 18 is the magic number. When Calloway scored his 18th point on the layup to cut the lead to 1, I said, "18 for him, 18 for Marco, need Vaden to get to 18 to win." I was expecting that if IU won, though, it would be Killer getting his 20th point to do it. When Vaden took that 3, I knew it was good when it left his hand. Still, that was probably the worst defensive showing of the season for IU. Best offensive showing since the first 2 games of the season, but that was likely the worst defensive team they have seen. Thankfully, they were able to get to the hoop at will (Calloway, Wilmont), and they actually did instead of settling for the 3.
  18. Crap. Gonzaga squeaks thru. That will make them tougher to beat should IU get to the 2nd round. They got taken to the wire by an underdog, now they'll probably come out and actually play in the 2nd round.
  19. I got Winthrop upsetting UT. It became too popular of a pick for me to take. I got Witchita State upsetting UT in the second round. I only did it because I have WSU winning in Rd2.
  20. I'm 2-1, I picked Oklahoma. Why they aren't a better team, I don't know.
  21. I got Winthrop upsetting UT.
  22. Nevada will win. Believe!
  23. Dangit all to hell!
  24. Pacific's gonna blow it. Cinderella doesn't get 3 chances to pimp the prince.
