  1. 2-out double to score Buck Coats. Hill is dealing also.
  2. Man, we better keep an eye on Yepez. Strong start for him.
  3. Uh, and Kinsler is on my team. My best picks look to be minor leaguers, all my guys seem to be doing well and are very close to the majors.
  4. Great D behind Gallagher tonight. Ryan Harvey with an OF assist getting a runner at 3B. Fox threw out a runner trying to steal. 2 doubleplays turned. He has recorded 11 outs on the ground, just 1 fly ball hit, which came in his final inning. And just like last year, Gallagher is way ahead of the hitters in his league. 12 scoreless innings to start this year, after having 40+ scoreless to start 05.
  5. Angel Guzman should be pitching that day. Sing and Theriot may have ML futures as bench players, but Pie is really the only true offensive prospect on that team.
  6. YAY! Undefeated when real starters start games!
  7. The last page of this game thread has gotten weird.
  8. How much less money does Freel make than Neifi Perez? Not a fair comparison since Freel isn't even arbitration eligible yet, but Freel signed a 2 year deal for 3 mil(1.3/1.7) compared to Neifi's 2 year deal for 5 mil. Yeah but, wouldn't it be nice to get a guy with his ability to draw walks as a bench player? Definitely. It would be nice to have him as a starter. I'd take him over Pierre in CF, and I kinda like Juan.
  9. And that was a meaningless outing. The Cubs pen is gonna give up runs, hopefully the pen saves the majority of them for when games are unwinnable. i.e. whenever Rusch starts.
  10. Wow! The Cubs franchise player doesn't need to be making mistakes on the bases. If Lee wasn't so good at picking his spots, I would never want him to attempt a steal again, ala Sammy after he got good.
  11. Barrett seriously is the best NL offensive catcher.
  12. Looks like Murton strayed off 2B and got into a rundown. Cedeno then got tagged out trying to go to 2B. Just a guess, I'm on gamecast.
  13. Is Barrett fast? Just asking.. It was a joke, man.
  14. Defense loses championships. This could be the worst defensive game ever.
  15. FWIW, for all the people happy about speed.....the Cubs would have scored 2 anyway on the Pagan double.
  16. Man, everyone's awfully abrasive in this thread. Let's keep the discussions civil.
