  1. How do u tell Cardale Jones he's the #3 QB again next year? I think he declares for the draft.
  2. "@FrankCaliendo: Dez Bryant had the ball longer than Oregon did on that drive. #CollegeFootballChampionship"
  3. Turning 60 and assuming he's not being paid by Denver that would be a huge gamble by him. Damnit I know.
  4. Hopefully Fox wants to sit out a year.
  5. Jack Del Rio without the personality, IMO. But I actually like Del Rio. I honestly feel Lovie is a better coach.
  6. Yep. Lack of ability to find OCs. His teams can never get over the hump. He's ultra conservative, though he's been less so since the Broncos blew that game to the Ravens Peyton's 1st year....but I'd imagine he'd go back to that without a top 3 QB in history. Defenses have typically underachieved, despite him being a defensive coach.
  7. God that would just be our [expletive] ass luck. John Fox is literally one of the worst 5 coaches in the league. He's really bad. No idea what this has to do with my post lol Nothing. Just pointing out a fact.
  8. Football move doens't apply to the Dez play, because he was headed down as he caught the ball Football move doesn't apply in back of the end zone because play is over when there are 2 feet down, provided he doesn't then head to the ground from catching the ball. Football move only applies when a fumble is forced by the defense.
  9. God that would just be our [expletive] ass luck. John Fox is literally one of the worst 5 coaches in the league. He's really bad.
  10. That's the part I don't get. The rule is if the momentum of the catch takes you to the ground, you have to maintain possession thru landing on the ground. I think Dez did, but reached for the goalline. Basically, they are saying this was all 1 motion, in which case that would be a correct interpretation of the rule. The steps dont matter because he wasn't running on his own. He was stumbling toward the ground (due to the momentum of the catch). Dez should have just hit the ground and not tried to reach for the end zone, then he would have never lost it. I think you should be able to seperate the 2 different motions, but the rules don't allow that.
  11. I knew his arm strength had gone south, but man, he can't get it down the field at all anymore. I'll be surprised if he comes back. Unless Denver wants to suck for luck* they aren't cutting manning and he probably comes back another year. *insert non luck named qb here Play wack for Hack(enberg)?
  12. There's a difference between going to the ground and being knocked/tackled to the ground.
  13. I actually think the blocker was trying to get the defender away from the returner on that one. The defender flat out hit the returner. The blocker was going backwards. He would have had to pull (aka hold) the defender to keep him away from the return man.
  14. No idea why they think that - as a fan of a rival team (Titans) who has watched Houston at a minimum of 2 times every year and typically more, I've always thought very highly of his coaching ability. I was a bit surprised when they fired him and think he's probably the best coaching candidate out there this offseason (Kubiak and Bowles at the top for me, even before any hirings took place). You can believe gscool or you can believe 5 posts above
  15. As of right now, he's still DC in Tampa- but there's been the Marinelli rumors of him joining Lovie there. He wanted to go last year, and Cowboys denied him permission to leave, so Lovie hired Frazier. Yeah but he hasn't been fired. He seems respected enough that the Bucs wouldn't go behind his back and hire someone else.
  16. So, it looks like we have at least a few more days to wait. Still need to schedule a kubiak interview, yes? Hopefully. Today was the first day they could schedule something though. Hope they can get him in by Wed and hire by Friday at latest. Kubiak Bowles Austin Gase Quinn
  17. Wait. What happened to Leslie Frazier?
  18. Kubiak hasn't worked with Cutler. Even if he did, it wouldn't be completely catering to Cutler because Kubiak has value as a head coach other than Cutler. Which is what I pointed out in several posts (that you didn't read or comprehend) which I assume you are referencing.
  19. I think it's a pretty decent hire for Buffalo. I can't imagined they expected to get an established head coach with a history of winning despite shoddy QB play. At least prior to 2014. Yeah, I get that. Rex is definitely the best coach on the market. But I think the goal should be to develop a QB instead of winning in spite of lacking one. I'm sure that's not the long term goal and they want to find a QB to go with their outstanding defense, but nothing about Rex says that's likely to happen.
  20. He should. That team is built for the 4-3. They were a 3-4 and actually intentionally added 4-3 talent. If they want to bring back Jerry Hughes, they better stay 4-3. He was terrible in a 3-4 as a Colt.
  21. I'm excited. C'Mon Kubiak. Dennison is great too. I almost don't care about the DC, as long as it isn't Mel Tucker. Wade would be OK. But I'd really like Perry Fewell. Not sure if he has any ties to Kubiak, though.
  22. I think that's a weird hire for the Bills. Pretty much the same situation as the Jets. Lot of defensive talent. Defensive coach that can't find a QB or OC and can't get past the Patriots in the division. Really surprised they didn't go after Frank Reich. Offensive coach, ex player. Seems like best case over the next several years to be 10 wins, 2nd place in East abd the occasional playoff win.
  23. Long responded to a "kubiak will be your coach" tweet very favorably. Yeah saw that. Long likes everyone and everything though.
  24. F it. I want Kubiak. Forsett had almost 1300 rushing yards this year. After what he did with UDFA Foster, Forte and Carey as a combo may put up 2000 between them. Keeps the TE involved. Never had a ton of WR depth, but always has a 1000 yard WRs (Andre Johnson). Doesnt get his QBs sacked a bunch. Brilliant game plan today. Like I said, its kinda boring but damn if it doesn't work. And the Bears have the personnel to make it work. Big armed QB. Strong runner. Zone blocking OL (Kyle Long would be an excellent fit).
