    Screw the overrated eastern divisions. The jets were still just a 9-7 team, new england has fallen from their mighy heights, and neither Miami nor Buffalo is particularly threatening. And the Bears have fared quite well against the best team from the NFC East, Philly, for the past several years. Agreed. I'd rather play the AFC East than the North or even South (mainly based on poor matchups for the Bears like Andre Johnson, Peyton Manning, Vince Young's mobility). The Jets have been crowned because they had a good showing in the playoffs and acquired big name players this offseason. The Pats will be Welker-less and still have a below average D. Plus, both those games are in Chicago.

    I'm thinking bouncer or off duty cop for the Steelers. Rothlisberger calls them "assessories".

    For the Steelers, I'd go best CB or possibly the best OLB or WR on the board. Dominique Franks (who we picked last time) or switch it up with Koa Misi or Benn.

    Is the NBA really going to allow a Lebron v. Kobe less finals for the 2nd year in a row?

    It's funny, but because of some late runs/slumps, some teams got some really tough 1st round matchups. I think Detroit is a threat to win the West, but Phoenix was probably as tough as a 1st round matchup for them. Same w/ NJ getting the Flyers. Pens should still beat Ottawa, but if they and the Devils were switched, I think both teams would be more comfortable. I think the Blackhawks and Caps have the only matchups where they could completely dominate the series.

    2010- Chicago is 2 for 2 in getting their major sports teams into the playoffs. Only 2 more to go, unless you count that other baseball team that I keep hearing about.

    1. He drove without a motorcycle helmet which is against the law (not that big of a deal to me though). 2. He drove without a motorcycle license (bigger deal than #1) 3. After the accident he said he wouldn't wear a helmet still which was a very stupid thing to say and he retracted it a week later after the NFL and Steelers talked to him. Although all relatively minor all of those are misconduct by the NFL rules. As for the Holmes comment and the Steelers I somehow had missed that he had a positive drug test. That changes things. However, Roethlisberger should still without question get a 1-4 game suspension (I would go 2). I thought it wasn't against the law in PA. I remember an interview he did before his crash and he said he would wear a helmet if it was the law, but it isn't and you're just more free without a helmet. It's not against the law in PA.

    Only 2 RP spots. So, Rauch was on my bench. As for the dropoff from Hamels to Wolf, Wolf outscored Hamels by 60 last year in our league. I guess I'm not convinced that Hamels will bounce back completely and be an ace. He struggled in his last 3 spring outings and did the same vs. the Nationals.

    No, same state and class as Carlino (well, same state Carlino is currently in at least). Zeller? Zellers? I heard an off-the-wall rumor that Cody Zeller was going to choose IU and his brother Tyler was transferring from UNC.

    What's the rest of your team look like? I would say NO on the surface, as Upton is likely to be a top 5 player within 4 years. Kershaw could be a top 5 SP then though. But where Kershaw would help you in Ks, ERA and WHIP (his WHIP was a solid 1.23 despite the walks), he will hurt you in BB. At this point, Upton definitely has Runs, Net SB, OBP and SLG over Carlos Lee (who I assume would be replacing him in your lineup), and it's at best a tossup between Upton and Lee in HR and RBI, and that's if Lee is healthy and remembers how to hit.

    You can't beat half the teams you play, you don't belong in the playoffs. But such is the Eastern Conference.

    Houston Texans will stay the same and select Dan Williams, DT Tennessee.

    Would you trade Cole Hamels and Rafael Soriano for Kendry Morales and Randy Wolf? Head-to-head points league. Wolf would replace Hamels. Morales would replace Alfonso Soriano who is my Utility player right now. Rafael Soriano would be replaced by Jon Rauch who is my backup closer (also have Marmol). CBS league projections has Hamels and Morales dead even in points and Soriano and Wolf are seperated by 4 points.
