  1. I can't see him doing any better than he's done playing off of Melo and alongside Billups, in an offense that allows him to shoot nearly 500 3s a year.
  2. I don't think a lot of people realize how bad MAC football has been the last couple years. I think going from 1-11, to winning the league without completely changing the roster shows the difference between the top and the bottom of that conference wasn't very much. The MAC used to be a solid league for football.
  3. I agree. I would rather not trade Brewer if I'm getting a player with no clue defensively in return. Not that anyone will ever stop Wade, Lebron, Pierce, etc. but JR Smith could give up 50 to anyone on any given night.
  4. Ugh. I've got a lot of not attractive options to look at this week. My only spots set in stone are: Vick-QB, McCoy-RB, Vernon Davis- TE. At WR I have: Brandon Marshall vs. Buffalo Mike Williams-TB vs. Detroit Steve Smith- NY vs. Philly, questionable Nate Burleson vs. Tampa Johnny Knox vs. Minnesota At RB, I have: Anthony Dixon vs San Diego Reggie Bush vs. Baltimore Chris Ivory vs. Baltimore I have to have 2 WR starters, 1 RB starter and a flex WR/RB out of these guys. HELP! FYI, this is a PPR league.
  5. McCoy is a must start. I would also start Jackson and Bradshaw. Pick up Garrard at QB.
  6. The 3-6 game is much more attractive than the 4-5 game. Atlanta is a dangerous team that has been together for a while. Probably not going to win a series, but they'll be a tough out either way. Indiana....eh, not so much.
  7. Who says he has to get rid of the money BEFORE taking it on though? This is the same crap he did with Sosa and how the Cubs ended up w/ Jeromy Burnitz while legit RFs passed them by. I can't imagine if he only has 5Mil in room that he can't go over that ever between now and when the season starts. Hendry doesn't strike me as a guy willing to be that risky. I don't see it as being risky if he's dead set on getting rid of Fukudome or someone else. Someone will take some salary off of this team (not Zambrano or Soriano), whether you like the return or not is a different story. If he wants to get rid of money, he can.
  8. I may be wrong here. But that seems like an overpay.
  9. I don't care, he is #1 in my heart. Same here. I want him to retire a Cub. I thought he did that in the middle of 2008.

  11. Wakefield? He always seems to get some starts when people go down. Dice-K will be gone somewhere somehow this winter.
  12. Carmelo to the Knicks doesn't make that a good playoff team to me. If the trade goes down today, they're probably a 50 win team. But I still don't see them rebounding or defending enough to get past the top 4 teams in the East.
  13. I'd probably start Watson.
  14. What about the fact that Kerry Wood isn't very good at pitching anymore?
  15. If they don't have faith in Jackson going forward there are a few reasons to play Favre. One is that if Favre wants to play they probably want to go with the go they think gives them the best chance to win a game. I have trouble imagining Favre wanting to leave the game this way. The Vikings should love the opportunity to ruin the Bears hopes for the division. Isn't there a rumor going around that Favre asked the team to IR him so he wouldn't have to do press conferences? I don't think Favre cares about how he "goes out". If so, he would have quit last year. Haven't heard that rumor. There's been joking talk of a phantom suspension from Goodell regarding the dong photos. That's actually probably pretty likely. She said she wanted him punished. Is it weird that I kinda want to see the photos?

  17. Orton Britt Steve Johnson Winslow
  18. Per NFL Network, NYG/MIN going to be in Detroit.
  19. The Mayor of St. Louis has offered the Edward Jones Dome as the host of the game. How feasible is it for the Giants to get long sleeves, outdoor cleats, and other things required for cold weather outdoor games by tomorrow night?
  20. Not a chance you get Aikman. This is a CBS game.
  21. No way on Earth would I trade Chirinos, Lee, Jackson and Jackson (worst pitcher named) for Garza. If it's Chirinos, Lee, Jay Jackson, and another prospect (not as good as those 3), Tampa better be throwing in something else.
  22. The problem with a guy like Jackson is that the only way to make a deal work with them is if they take back Deng. The Bulls don't have any good young talent they can trade that can match the salary of a relatively big name like those two. They also don't have expiring contracts that rebuilding teams desire. Deng isn't desireable to a rebuilding team. I think the only chance the Bulls have to add a SG is to go bargain shopping. A team that is not going anywhere that has extra bodies at SG is the best bet. -JR Smith from Denver after they Melo trade goes down is a possibility. They'd keep Affalo over Smith at SG. -Rudy Fernandez. I think if that was going to happen, it would have. He doesn't want to be in Portland. Wes Matthews is who they'd rather keep anyway. -Courtney Lee. Probably not available, but he backs up their leading scorer. Not getting a ton of minutes in Houston but they did just get him this offseason, so I assume they like him.
  23. This Bulls team is too good to be the 4th best team in their own conference, and even that doesn't include a really good Atlanta team. I think the Bulls will continue to get better with Boozer in there. And I think in most years, the Bulls as is would be a serious contender for the Eastern conference. But with Miami and Boston so stacked. And Atlanta and Orlando's cores having more experience together, it's going to be tough to get out of the 1st or 2nd round. This team needs a SG really bad, but I don't know if there is anyone feasible that can make that big of a difference to beat Boston or Miami (I'd put them ahead of Orlando w/ a SG).
  24. My dumbarse league starts 2 WRs and a WR/TE. I started Jacob Tamme over Pierre Garcon. 19 points to 2 right now. :banghead:
  25. http://www.mlbtraderumors.com/2010/12/rangers-cubs-talking-multiplayer-trade.html Is a guy like Chirinos or Dolis that much?? I am not a huge fan of Davis, but don't mind the idea of getting him if all it takes is a Chirinos or Dolis type, 2nd tier prospect. That's where O'Day comes in, I think. Chirinos is probably what the Cubs want to give up. Rangers probably want more. Offering Dolis and getting the bullpen help in addition seems to make sense for both teams.
