  1. why are those the only RBs you're choosing from? And is a PPR league?
  2. Sorry, about recommending Alexander.
  3. It sure sounds like he is, thankfully. Need McManis to be ready also, along with Bowman. Really makes me wish they drafted a CB instead of a 2nd LB.
  4. And Jokisch throws the no-hitter! 2nd of the season for the Cubs organization,
  5. Rubi Silva with a rare walk to get Javy a 6th PA......and he strikes out swinging.
  6. Through 8 100 pitches, though he is hitting to start the 9th.
  7. 3rd straight 2-hit game with an opposite field double and pulled single. All his hits have come in his first 2 ABs of the games too (walked in between hits yesterday). Also has stolen a base each day.
  8. Carolina really needs to get good so the team can draw higher-ranked broadcast teams. I'm so tired of having to listen to Chris Myers and Dick Stockton. I like Chris Myers and Sam Rosen. Not a fan of the guys with them though. Team 2 is probably my favorite overall. 1 and 3 can go to hell (though, Aikman is ok).
  9. That theory is out there, but: http://espn.go.com/blog/nfcnorth/post/_/id/58831/will-young-have-enough-time-to-compete Of course the team is going to want to give off the impression he's not just a 2 week practice dummy. But my question is, can VY really pull off a read option impression at this stage? Why not? He's only 30. Should have fresh legs while not having been away from the game for too long. Not going to do it as well as RG3 or Kap, but if anyone could. ...they wouldn't be only subject to doing it in practice.
  10. I'm guessing VY is there just to give that D a look at the read option before they play Kaepernick and RG3 in weeks 1 and 2. He'll be gone at the bye week (4) if they need the roster spot.
  11. Yeah I really like Payano. Asher and Mendez are also decent options. I think I'd take those two over Ramirez.
  12. Probably time to start demoting some pitchers to get them some work in KC.
  13. Per Twitter, it's Baker and Edwards (scheduled) for the 2 games today.
  14. They were also a much deeper team back then. And what people don't talk about is they didn't lose anyone of consequence other than Jermichael Finley. Ryan Grant was easily replaceable for a team that didn't run the ball. Nick Barnett they never had that season and he was easily replaced by Bishop. And they lost Burnett, who started, but was a then rookie safety.
  15. Well that certainly makes things a bit more interesting. Wow. That's huge. I think they are going to miss Jennings, Woodson, and Driver, now throw in Bulaga out....I think they are coming back to the rest of the division.
  16. Let's hope this is a permanent thing, and they don't have to keep working with him so diligently at every level. I'm sure he will be constantly reminded how to approach ABs, but it would be nice to not have the huge struggles to make contact early at each stop (though he is young for every level he's been at and pitching gets better at each level).
  17. He's not bad. Hasn't been great vs. LHs this year, but typically is pretty tough for lefties to hit. Walks more than you would like, but the K rate has been at least 8 per 9 his entire career and is over 10 this year. I don't see why he wouldn't be worth a try. Though, he is a flyball pitcher that gives up some HRs.
  18. Kerry Wood type [expletive].
  19. I still stand by my stance that Watkins could pull out a few Ryan Theriot (with a better walk rate) seasons where he is a player of decent value. Hopefully he shows enough here that Barney is taken out of the lineup for good. He's terrible now that his defense hasn't been immaculate.
  20. I want Bryant and Almora to Daytona ASAP. I think both could handle the jump.
  21. Bryant with a nice 8 game hitting streak. 9-28, 3BBs, 6Ks
  22. And 3rd inning singles for both Alcantara and Baez. Alcantara's IF hit injured the diving SS, who left the game.
  23. Baez w/ a first inning double, and run scored. Rhee thru 2 perfect, with 3 GB, 2 FB, and a K on 21 pitches.
  24. Yeah that was my favorite group. I was big on Felix Sanchez and Angel Guzman was literally one of the best arms I have ever seen. He was good Marmol with more potential to start, IMO.
