  1. Yep, it'll be Wentz
  2. Eagles The Eagles can go in a couple of directions with this pick. Roseman & Peterson worked out Goff yesterday, so there would appear to be interest. Alas, Goff is now gone to SF Many mocks have Elliott going here, and the Eagles certainly have a need, but is it too high to pick a RB? Having shipped Byron Maxwell off to MIA, DB is also a long term need & Hargreaves would work well here. But, the Eagles also have O-line needs, they need another guard, & their LT, Jason Peters is getting a bit long in the tooth. Ronnie Stanley, along with Lane Johnson give the Eagles the potential to have book-end tackles for the foreseeable future. Eagles pick Ronnie Stanley
  3. I'm still willing to take Eagles as indicated on 1st page of thread...
  4. I'd vote for the OT from Ole Miss -Laremy Tunsil to go 1st overall. Arrgh, just saw the poll, & submitted vote..... Could be a good spot for a trade for someone to jump up & get a QB, but I'll stick with TN holding pick & selecting Tunsil
  5. Just based on past experience, the Cubs seem to mail out the April and May games in March while the summer games tend to be mailed out after the season begins. I wouldn't worry. My group tickets that I purchased back in December for the 5/28 game just arrived over the weekend.
  6. Neil Ramirez looking filthy today.
  7. I'll take the Eagles
  8. But can he play the leadoff position?
  9. I punched in for Cease at #3, so I'll go again for him here. Highest upside arm in system IMO...
  10. I'm in a similar situation - in town for Memorial Day weekend. I already had group tickets for a family event on Saturday against PHL, and just bucked up through the premium sale to grab seats to Monday's game against LA.
  11. I wonder if they talked about the circumstances that led to him leaving the CWS broadcasting job. I doubt it.
  12. You're sure about that, huh? Man, I hope your right, but I've seen multiple sources, most notably Keith Law, saying he's not a major league 3B defensively. I'd imagine it's his defense & question of a future position keeping him off a top 100 list, because I agree with your points offensively.
  13. D.J. Wilson gets my vote.
  14. Agreed, this is a helluva deal for the Mets. Crap.
  15. Rosenthal put out a tweet yesterday regarding the Cubs and TB potentially being connected, & Morosi tweeted earlier this morning that TB is ramping up their efforts to trade pitching. Obviously this isn't breaking news, Cubs & TB have been talking throughout the winter, but it finally seems like TB may be close to making a move, interesting.
  16. With Castro being dealt to NYY, I think it's a safe bet that Javy is a Cub for all of 2016. What other options do we have at SS if Russell tweaks his hammy? With the Cubs loading up on relievers, I think it's possible we see an 8 man pen, and only 12 position players. We know Ross takes one of the bench spots, and it may only allow for two additional bench players. Javy can play SS, 2B, and 3B, any maybe the OF. His versatility & ability to play several positions keeps him a Cub for 2016, IMO
  17. Starting to wonder if LA is trying to amass enough chess pieces to make a run at Fernandez. They certainly have a few intriguing pitching prospects
  18. Still waiting for another deal involving Baez or Soler. I'd be surprised if Baez is dealt with Castro gone. Not real excited about moving Soler right now either considering the cost to acquire young controllable elite starting pitching.
  19. Other teams think its the Astros. It's not Houston per their beat reporter... Evan Drellich @EvanDrellich Source shoots down idea Astros in on Jose Fernandez. My take: its an easy organization for ppl to peg as a "mystery team." (Headley, but no
  20. Gammons needs to retire. They're not trading Archer.
  21. 6 yrs of Baez for one year of Strasburg? I'll pass Not that I wouldn't deal him, but he'd need to be included as part of a package in deal for a controllable young starter like Carrasco. Otherwise, I'd rather just buy pitching or use the minor league system to acquire it. Rotoworld has Baez at five years. Five years of boom or bust Baez for one year of Strasburg, who looked great the final two months of the season, isn't anything to sneeze at. Especially considering if Strasburg left we'd get a comp pick in return and Baez leaving doesn't open up a hole on the roster. Also I'd love a chance at buying low on Cashner. If Almora or McKinney could be turned into Cashner I make the deal in a second. Baez hasn't accrued a full season of service time yet. Cots has him at .89, thus we still have him under control for six years.
