  1. There was nothing fake about the letters. They were signed by real people who put real addresses on them. The emails may have been one thing, but these letters were signed by real people who live right here in Monroe. Were the letters all the same other than the names?
  2. Why complain when you were sending in fake leters and whatnot? I would have tossed all your fake letters too.
  3. The Adams signing was great, btw.
  4. The contract makes it seem like they expect him to be a regular contributor to special teams, at least. I read somewhere else that he resigned with the Steelers? I dunno, nothing on Bears.com about him. Does anyone know for sure?
  5. I'll take him in Oakland. Hasn't he suffered enough?
  6. This is a great game.
  7. Wow, Ohio State is getting demolished.
  8. http://www.espn.com
  9. This thread made me think of Kris Humphries.
  10. Prior probably locked up the Cy Young today. No big deal.
  11. Playing another year in college may have just exposed him more. He may have made the right move here.
  12. I like how this thread went from "He's a finished, steroid ruined, pansy" to "He's back baby!" God bless game threads!
  13. he is bad, I don't mind his post game though What's going on here? Is Brenly on the way out? Why is Plesac doing all the ST games? They added some spring training games (to the cable channel) late in the process, and Brenly already had family commitments that he didn't want to get out of. Brenly will broadcast all the games when the regular season starts, but only some of them during ST. Awesome, thanks.

  15. 48 MILLION! For a guy who has only thrown a few hundred passes in the NFL. Good lord. Although I guess they do throw around that kind of money to rookies who've never even thrown a pass in the NFL. It's only really like a 3 year/ 20 mil deal with 7 million gauranteed. I hate the way the release the information on these contracts, so misleading.
  16. OH NONONONONONONONONONONOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!
  17. He was very far in the wrong and he posed a large risk to everyone around him. If you have had enough to drink that you would fall asleep in the amount of time it takes for the light to change to green, then you are signifigantly impaired. You are getting too caught up in the BAC levels. If a .093 BAC is signifigant enough for TLR to pass out at the wheel, then it is a serious situation. He's actually lucky that things didn't turn out worse for him. He could have fallen asleep while driving, he could have been rearended by someone not expecting there to be a car parked at a green light, his foot could have slipped off the brake or slipped onto the gas pedal, any number of things could have happened. I don't really see how his BAC is signifigant in this situation.
  18. I'm looking forward to saying, "Looks like Tony's asleep at the wheel!" during Cubs v. Cardinals games.
  19. It's perfectly fine to be more outraged at a higher level. What's disgusting and ignorant is the dismissive attitude toward the light end. "That used to be legal." Nonsense like that is absurd. "That used to be legal" is not absurd nonsense. It's a fact. DUI is a legal definition, and one that has changed over time. By your absolute "DUI is DUI" logic, your reaction to the situation should change from whatever you'd label it now to basically no reaction at all if LaRussa had blown a 0.93 a couple of years ago instead of now. Who cares what he blew? He obviously drank enough to pass out at a stoplight in his running car. What if is foot slipped off the break and his car rolled into oncoming traffic? I don't see why we should have to temper our outrage because he BAC wasn't off the charts. The end result still could have been deadly and that's the issue here.
  20. Ask him for some money.
  21. Soriano is like Juan Pierre, except he's good as baseball.
