  1. We can't score and Chris Rock sucks.
  2. I've never liked Collins, even when he had his decent seasons. He's a 70-something rated QB, he throws INTs up the whazzoo and I don't know if he's ever completed 60% of his passes. I think he'll be moderately expensive, looking for a starting job, and not friendly to young QBs taking his time. I think he could be a decent backup QB, but I don't have interest in him being the Bears' backup QB. I'd rather they spend their money on other positions. I won't complain if they sign him, but I think it would be a misappropriation of funds. I agree.
  3. We got ourselves a real barnburner here. 17-12 Wisconsin with 3 mins left in the first half.
  4. Gullikson for teh win!!!
  5. Ohio State paying a player? I'm astonished!!
  6. This was my favorite ESPN bottomline story of the year. I think it said something like: "Roger Clemens to retire after WBC, unless he changes his mind."
  7. It will be interesting to see what the Bears will do. Historically, the Bears have acted very quickly in free agency. I think that Thomas Jones and Moose were the first 2 free agent signing of the last two years. That tells me that the Bears identify the players they like and need then aggressively pursue them. Angelo saying that they aren't going to be that active is likely a smoke screen. The real benefit of this extra cap room is the ability to give Briggs an extension.
  8. I don't know two tournys ago Illinois was ranked number 7 in America had won the big ten outright and was rolling like 12 straight wins, Wiscy was ranked number 9 and just waxed us. Their reward for beating a top ten team by 20 plus, a 5 seed. I don't think this tourny has any impact for the top teams. I remember that and remember feeling completely hosed.
  9. Right on. It's pretty hard not to like Pierre. He is obviously a hard worker and seems to be a great guy. If he can put up at 360ish OBP from the leadoff spot this year, I'll love him. True, he doesn't get many XBH and that cuts down his production, but considering our production out of the leadoff spot last year, I'm not too upset with Pierre.

  11. Where is your clutchness now Jeter?!?!??!?!?!?! 8)
  12. http://sports.espn.go.com/nfl/news/story?id=2359699 Sounds like the Vikings asked Pep to learn how to be an actual Quarterback now that Moss is gone Or he thinks he should be allowed to have sex with hookers on boats whenever he wants without repercussion. I think the real issue is that he wants more money after having a train wreck of a season ended by a catastrophic knee injury. I'm going to go out on a limb and say that C-pepp probably isn't the smartest guy in the world.
  13. 6 HBP's this game???
  14. How many CS does Pierre have so far this spring?
  15. I don't think Wisconsin underachieved. Before the season started, they weren't given much of a chance to contend for the Big Ten Title by most media outlets. They were still at or near the top the whole season despite losing 2 key players. I know you were only using it to make another point but I wanted to point this out.

  17. Man, Jones has been great in ST. Hopefully this success will carry over into the regular season.
  18. The only explanation is that Dusty wants Barry to die.
  19. http://cbs.sportsline.com/collegebasketball/story/9290794 Isiah Thomas to Hoosiers?
  20. Madison can't cover much of anything anymore. Don't tell that to Jay Mariotti who is advocating us breaking the bank for him. It's pretty hard to justify spending big money on older CB's when there is so many talented defensive backs in this draft. I could even see us taking a Ko Simpson in the first, if he was there. I wouldn't be surprised or upset with that.
  21. Jets should take it. Abraham will be good for about 10 games next year. I agree. That would be a great deal for the Jets. They could either get something like D'Brick and Lendale in the draft or use the picks to trade up to the first overall and take Bush/Young/Leinart. The Jets have a nice young defense (I think. Am I wrong?). That extra pick could be huge for them. I understand what the Lions are trying to do, but the price seems too great.
