  1. For interested parties: Event Player College Result Group 7 -- tight ends 40-yard dash Vernon Davis Maryland 4.38 Tony Scheffler W. Michigan 4.54 Joe Klopfenstein Colorado 4.62 Leonard Pope Georgia 4.62 Garrett Mills Tulsa 4.64 Owen Daniels Wisconsin 4.65 David Thomas Texas 4.67 Broad Jump Vernon Davis Maryland 10-foot-8 Marcedes Lewis UCLA 9-foot-10 Leonard Pope Georgia 9-foot-10 Jason Pociask Wisconsin 9-foot-7 Ton Scheffler W. Michigan 9-foot-7 Owen Daniels Wisconsin 9-foot-6 Quinnn Sypniewski Colorado 9-foot-6 Vertical Jump Vernon Davis Maryland 42 Leonard Pope Georgia 37½ David Thomas Texas 37½ Marcedes Lewis UCLA 37 Joe Klopfenstein Colorado 36 Garrett Mills Tulsa 35½ Pope looks to be #2 but this puts me more firmly in Goony's camp. No one really separated themselves outside of Davis (who we have no chance of getting). The rest look bunched together. We can get a quality TE in the 2nd or 3rd. I think looking at BPA (with some restrictions) is a pretty good idea.
  2. Do you still want to bet that he won't be a top ten pick?
  3. Also, there was a rumor that V. Young scored a 6 on the Wonderlic. Not sure if it has been confirmed or not.
  4. I wouldn't complain about Youbouty/Tye Hill in the 1st. Some of the combine data has been interesting. Chad Jackson must be shooting up the charts. As a Wisconsin homer, I was pretty stunned that Calhoun ran so bad. He better bring in in the Wiscy Pro-Day or it's going to hurt him pretty bad.
  5. If pitchers get distracted, then why did the person following Pierre perform worse when Pierre was on base more? Apparently, Castillo's not good @ hitting w/ a guy on first. Small sample size considering the many, many speedy leadoff men who have played baseball... And yet a very sizable sample for the exact individual we're talking about. Can we see the effects from some of these other speedy leadoff men? Does it translate year to year? Or is it like "Cutch hitting" where the results fluctuate wildly from year to year?
  6. There's no poles that I know of in the UD Box. If you're in UD Reserved, there are some poles. Correct. UD box has no poles. UD reserved has them, in about row 3 i think. Sounds like they'll br right in my wheelhouse.
  7. There's no poles that I know of in the UD Box. If you're in UD Reserved, there are some poles. I think I'm in UD reserved then. Whatever, I'm not that concerned.
  8. My UD Box seats show a pole in Seat Data as well. Does that pole start in row 6 as well? If it doesn't say Obs View then I should be ok?
  9. I got 4 for the 9/2 game vs the Giants. I'd like to say I've seen Bonds before he retires. I'm sure he'll end up sitting that game out. My windows are closed! Your odds have increased!
  10. 6 UD boxes for opening weekend vs. the Cardinals! Woohoo!
  11. I'm never going to get through.

  13. That's the way I feel. If I get in, I'm going to try to get some tickets for a few of the marquee games, if I don't no worries. I live so close to the stadium that if we want to go, we usually don't have trouble finding some tickets.
  14. The time for my eminent failure to get tickets is at hand!!!!!
  15. Yep, Tucker sat out all but a handful of games when he injured/broke his foot, applied for and got a medical reshirt. Ray Nixon is the only senior on the team, and Tucker, Taylor, and Chappel are the only juniors. I didn't realize that he applied for a medical RS for that season. Excellent. I still wish he would have played with Harris more that year. It could have been great. Almost as great as if Harris would have come back his senior season. Oh well... I doubt he'll go pro. I doubt he'd be picked before the late second if he went anyway. He needs to develop his jumper.
  16. I've just been informed that Alando Tucker has another year of eligibility left. How did I not know this? He must have gotten a medical redshirt that I didn't know about. This pleases me.
  17. Word is that Clements will be franchised.
  18. My apologies. I didn't see that one. Wow. Even Illinois it isn't close. The general perception of Sammy must be worse than I thought.

  20. ESPN has one of thos "Sports Nation" polls on Sosa.
  21. :!: I had completely fogotten about this.
  22. I just came here to post about this. I like Grossman, but this is a move that needs to be made. I don't know how good he'd be without Gates. Fixed. That's my concern.
  23. First of all, terrible move by SD. Second, the Bears should make a hard run at him. However, I don't think they will. I honestly think that Jerry beleives Grossman is the man.
