  1. This is the worst thread ever.
  2. Under the heading "NORTH SIDE BASEBALL." I agree. Lock all non-Cubs threads. In fact, lock any threads dealing with away games since they aren't on the "North Side."
  3. That's just it. I get more excited than I otherwise might because of their technique. I'm glad that they seem to know what they are talking about and keep itabout football but they really make it fun to listen. Jeff is able to paint the excitement and power and energy of the game with his voice even more than his words. It's kinetic not intellectual. Anyway, I like them. I love them too. They are wonderful to listen to when you are a raging homer like I am. I usually mute the TV and listen to the radio team.
  4. Bobby Wade. Bobble Wade had a good game for the Titans yesterday: 5 rec/76 yards.
  5. The Lions played very well this week. I was impressed. This could be a tough one and I'm glad we have it at home. Go Bears!
  6. This is terrible advice. While Vick isn't good as an NFL QB, he's a solid fantasy QB. He averaged 18+ Fantasy points a game for the last two years. Any scoring system where rushing yards are valued around 15 to 10 yards/point Vick is going to be very solid.

  8. Intrascrotal hematoma? Intrascrotal hematoma? Are you kidding me? And with that... I'll see you guys in the spring. Intrascrotal hematoma...
  9. Are you kidding? The Packers could be the worst team in the NFL. We may not be good, but worst team in the NFL? If you think this will be a blowout, you're clearly mistaken. The Bears didn't really blow any team out last year and had several close games, including both games against Green Bay. So what makes you think that this game will be a blowout? I'm confident the Pack can keep it close and I think they may be able to pull off the upset if Favre doesn't turn the ball over more than twice. GO PACK GO! What makes me think this game will be a blow out? The Packers are TERRIBLE. I know you're a Packers fan but let's face it, there is no upside to this season. Ahman Green is done, Favre is done, Donald Driver is the only receiver of note and he's no game breaker, the head coach the Pack hired coached the worst offense in the history of football last year, the O-line is studded with rookies, Ahmad Carroll is a bust, the D-line is pedestrian, and the Pack have looked awful in the preseason. Barring some sort of miracle, there is no way the Pack are covering in this game. The tables have turned in this rivalry.

  11. I guess opening web pages would be too much trouble. Griese has a career QB rating of 84.8 not 79.6.
  12. My thoughts from the game: - Grossman looked good. He seemed confident and made good throws. He should have had that second touchdown. - The D-line looked great today. No sacks but they put lots of pressure on the QB and gave some punishing hits. Tank in particular was getting tons of pressure on the QB. - Ian Scott's return was also a boost in the run defense. Scott is so underrated. - Rookie DE Jamal Green also showed some flashes. He made some good moves and put pressure on the QB. - Leon Joe was all over the field yet again. Jerry once said that cutting this guy was the biggest mistake he's ever made as a GM and I think we're starting to see why. - The starting running game was disappointing. No holes were opened for Jones. P.J. Pope looked good late in the game. He'll probably get signed to the practice squad. Hopefully no one snatches him up. - I really think Currie will make the team. He was getting consistently open last night and he looked very explosive. I really see no point in keeping Gage over Currie. Gage brings nothing to the team that Moose doesn't already provide. - Devin Hester looks great in the return game. Not only is he fast, but he is very quick. He was a step away from breaking that first punt return for a TD. Will he get involved on offense? It sounds like he might. Why not? He's great in the open field with the ball. Bring on the Packers!
  13. After tonight I think he's in serious danger of being cut. Remember, we'll only keep 5 WRs: Moose Berrian Bradley Davis Gage or Currie At this point, I'd rather keep Currie than Gage. IMO, Gage brings almost nothing to the table.
  14.    And if anyone thinks that is going to happen, they are fooling themselves. A second round pick is reasonable. I'd give him a second for him. 2 firsts? Uh, no thanks.
  15. I'm starting to feel like Griese is the guy.
  16. Lienart is going to be key.
  17. Berrian needs to come back to that. It was a floater though.
  18. :( Crappy drive there. 2 drops and a pick.
