Shaw is terrible, but Jed has painted himself into this corner. His two other in-house 3B options are: 1) Vidal Brujan - worse than Shaw both offensively and defensively 2) Justin Turner - maybe a wash offensively and significantly worse defensively Is it Jeimer Candelario time again?

I would guess PCA did it on his own. And what sucks is he might not have bunted if the umpire hadn't called a strike on the previous pitch well above the zone.

Not good by PCA, but damn that guy is fast as hell. He definitely beats PCA in a race

Taillon has value as a starter, but he's a 4/5 that is being relied on as a 2/3.

It's college basketball for me, but SportsCenter went from a daily watch in the 90's to an instant turn-off today. That is partly because ESPN sucks, and partly because nobody has an hour to watch highlights when you can quickly find whatever you are looking for on YouTube.

It's time to just camp him in the 8 hole. Let him hit his occasional home runs at the bottom of the order, but he shouldn't be anywhere near the middle of the lineup.

I'm curious how often the extra innings runner on second base never moves from second base... because it seems like it happens way more often than it should.

It cannot be stated enough how terrible Zaidman is on the radio. He gives you no idea what is actually happening. "Keller fields the ball and throws a strike to homeplate, but it's an errant throw."

The chemistry between Boog and JD wasn't there from the beginning. I think it took a season or more before they really started to gel as a broadcast team. So I don't think it's fair to say that Cohen and JD couldn't develop chemistry over time.

I think this is about right. He isn't likely going to sustain the power to approach 40 HR's, but 30+ and 50+ would be a great season.

Really? It was his second inning of work and two of the four were legitimate hits. Yes, he got hit hard, but it's not like he went out there and gave up four straight line drives.
