  1. Ball 5 to Schwarber. Let's see if he can take Ball 6. Sent from my Pixel using Tapatalk
  2. Why not? Maybe not for Norris, but he had a fresh bullpen with the day off yesterday. Could have thrown Bowman, Brebbia, Gregorson to get past him. Was already the bottom of the 8th and they were obviously set on Norris going 1+ innings to close it out. Fair enough. I guess I didn't think they had anyone else ready at that point. But regardless, do you think that Heyward vs a lefty is a better option than Almora vs a right? Almora would have hit against the lefty, since the pitcher was just brought in to face Heyward and had to remain in the game to face one batter. So it would have been Almora and La Stella, both against a lefty, instead of Heyward against a lefty and La Stella against a righty. I'll take Option 1. Sent from my Pixel using Tapatalk
  3. Since his 1st AB of this game. I didn't see that one, so I'm off the hook! Sent from my Pixel using Tapatalk
  4. That was the hardest hit ball to the opposite direction that I can recall Heyward hitting in a long, long time. Sent from my Pixel using Tapatalk
  5. I can't believe we're losing to Eddie freaking Harris. Sent from my Pixel using Tapatalk
  6. We will never know, but I'm curious what Happ's value was in the off-season and whether he could have netted a young back of rotation starter or high upside reliever. I really felt he was the guy who should have been traded to clear the outfield logjam. Right now, he shouldn't be playing over Almora. Sent from my Pixel using Tapatalk
  7. What is the deal with the "smaller seats" that have supposedly been added down the right and left field lines? Does anyone know which rows/sections were affected by this so that I can avoid them at all costs? http://www.chicagotribune.com/sports/baseball/cubs/ct-spt-cubs-wrigley-changes-sullivan-20180410-story.html
  8. Can't be all that much better without RISP. Sent from my Pixel using Tapatalk
  9. Ok, this is seriously the worst strike zone I have seen all year. Sent from my Pixel using Tapatalk
  10. Very small sample size tells me strike zones have been as awful as ever. Sent from my Pixel using Tapatalk
  11. The Cubs probably won't be involved in more than a couple of these, though, and it's not like you have to pay for them, so I guess it's fine. This is stupid. I assume it is only going to be "streaming exclusive", meaning we can still see the affected Cubs games on WGN, WLS, NBCSports (especially since the broadcast schedule has already been announced), but I still hate it. As an MLB.tv subscriber, I expect to be able to watch all the out-of-market games through MLB.tv. Would I really watch one of these mid-week afternoon games, maybe not, but knowing that I can't is annoying. And I don't want anything to do with Facebook.
  12. The tank is definitely on. The 10 teams with the current worst records all lost their last game. Of those 10 teams, there is an 8 game losing streak and three 7 game losing streaks. I certainly understand their motivation, but this can't be good for the league as a whole.
  13. The tribe or the sports program? You win.
  14. That sounds right. I know a new line of officially licensed Chief Illiniwek gear pops up from time to time for that same reason.
  15. Do it, and give us a standalone subscription option so I can finally ditch cable/satellite once and for all.
  16. Yeah, me too. I finally got around to watching "I Am Chris Farley" last weekend and it really made me appreciate again how big of an impact he had in a short amount of time. There will never be another actor quite like him, and for that matter, where is the next generation of young comedy actors? It could just be that I'm just no longer in the target demographic and don't "get" today's comedy, but what happened to the comedy genre? There are only a handful of comedies I can think of over the past decade that were even worth watching. But I am clearly way off topic...
  17. Chili Davis was one of my favorites, primarily because he was a good hitter in RBI Baseball.
  18. I have no idea what Javy is doing. Sent from my Pixel using Tapatalk
  19. Hahaha. Hilarious make up strike. Sent from my Pixel using Tapatalk
  20. They have Rizzo played perfectly. Sent from my Pixel using Tapatalk
  21. How good would his season have to be for him to opt out? So good that he would carry the Cubs to the world series, so that's a win-win. Sent from my Pixel using Tapatalk
  22. When they trade schwarber he will become big papi. I’ll hold out hope for DH in NL. I don't know about Stroman, but there has to be someone willing to pay big for a 40+ HR DH. Schwarber is one of my favorite players on the team, but he is worth more to an AL team than he is to the Cubs. Sent from my Pixel using Tapatalk
