  1. De La Rosa got the save... Now let's agree to never do that again.
  2. I am listening in the car and can't wrap my head around the chain of events that led to Terrence Gore as a defensive replacement. Sent from my Pixel using Tapatalk
  3. I was just wondering the same thing. While it may very well be justified, it sure seems like people use that excuse a lot for the Cubs. Does being tired really cause an entire team to not be able to hit? And do other teams attribute all their failures to having to play too many games? Sent from my Pixel using Tapatalk
  4. How did we make Daniel Murphy suck now too? Sent from my Pixel using Tapatalk
  5. This actually makes me slightly more optimistic for next year that they found something wrong outside of the stress reaction. Sent from my Pixel using Tapatalk
  6. Does firing the hitting coach in mid September give the Cubs a magic offensive bump? It doesn't hurt to try. How could they get any worse? Sent from my Pixel using Tapatalk
  7. Good news, he has a player option for next season too. Sent from my Pixel using Tapatalk
  8. I tend to agree. Sometimes I miss the pre pitch track days of "that was too close to take." Sent from my Pixel using Tapatalk
  9. Maybe this is just year 2 of the world series hangover... Kind of like that 2nd day hangover that doesn't feel bad but you can tell that something is a little bit off. Next year everything will be back to normal! Sent from my Pixel using Tapatalk
  10. We'll, to be fair, literally everyone on that team is worse at baseball today (whether due to injury or age or whatever satanic forces have gotten Russell and Contreras) than then - except for Javy and somehow Zobrist - and there's no legitimate reason we should've seen that coming. Crap I was going to find 1-2 other exceptions but...you’re right You could argue that Heyward is better (when not hurt) and Rizzo and Schwarber are basically the same guys as before. It really comes down to the 3 guys severely regressing - Bryant, Russell, and Contreras. And an unfilled hole in CF production. Sent from my Pixel using Tapatalk
  11. That's good, but no Dillon Maples. Sent from my Pixel using Tapatalk
  12. How can he just come in out of the bullpen and throw strikes like that? I didn't think that was allowed. Sent from my Pixel using Tapatalk
  13. That does not seem like an ideal use of Schwarber. Sent from my Pixel using Tapatalk
  14. "What's up Bears fans?" *crickets* Sent from my Pixel using Tapatalk
  15. Man, Baez had a pitch to hit there. Sent from my Pixel using Tapatalk
  16. To be fair, who are the other relievers who could be counted on for 3+ innings of scoreless baseball? Sent from my Pixel using Tapatalk
  17. This entire team is a dumpster fire. Sent from my Pixel using Tapatalk
  18. Take him out. Sent from my Pixel using Tapatalk
  19. Welp, get Drew Smyly back on the phone. Turn your car around, we need you to start next week! Sent from my Pixel using Tapatalk
  20. Need a bigger hook. Sent from my Pixel using Tapatalk
  21. I imagine Russell's chart of batting average by location has a giant red hole in the center of the zone. Sent from my Pixel using Tapatalk
  22. This should make for good sports talk radio tomorrow. I usually find any NFL talk insufferable, but tomorrow should be the exception. Sent from my Pixel using Tapatalk
  23. The Cubs and Nationals front offices seem to be on decent terms, so I'm thinking the Nationals may stay away from Scherzer on Thursday because they recognize how badly the Cubs are getting screwed here. This isn't a case of maintaining the integrity of a playoff race. Maybe this is wishful thinking on my part, but the Nationals have nothing to gain by attempting to bury the Cubs in this situation. Sent from my Pixel using Tapatalk
  24. So Thursday is Scherzer on full rest if the Nationals choose to go with him. Sent from my Pixel using Tapatalk
