  1. Fulmer survived 2 innings with only 1 run. I suppose that is as good as outcome as what could have been expected.
  2. I don't like to admit it, but I love these Cardinals uni's.
  3. Holy hell, that was bad. Gifted two strikes, then he had to swing at a third pitch in the same location. So effectively, all 3 pitches were on the ump.
  4. My high school baseball coach always used to yell "lose the hat!" when running after a fly ball in practice. I never really understood what he meant by that, but seeing Jordan Walker's hat pop off there, I guess that was it.
  5. Apple TV is broken. It just glitched and showed Mastrobuoni hitting a home run. I'm going to reload the stream.
  6. That problem isn't limited to smaller markets, although you could argue it is a necessity for them whereas it is a self-imposed limitation for others.
  7. Does baseball really need more revenue sharing though? A glance at the standings shows there are plenty of smaller markets doing just fine.
  8. I miss Tapatalk and I will die on that hill!
  9. I had no idea his metrics were that low, but how much of that could be driven by his approach at the plate? His two strike approach lately has been to shorten up significantly and just dump the ball into the outfield, and it has been working. Maybe that is unsustainable, but it sure appears that he is making a concerted effort to just put the ball in play when he gets behind in the count.
  10. I am really interested in the possible return for Bellinger. He is likely the best trade chip the Cubs have had since the selloff began in 2021. He is a middle of the order bat playing at near-MVP level, a plus defender, and can be a difference maker for a number of playoff-contending teams. He is the type of guy who may have netted the Cubs a Top 20 prospect in baseball in years past before teams got smarter about trading away their cost-controlled prospects for rentals. So, what can the Cubs actually get for him? Is it realistic to expect a player in the back half of the Top 100 along with another lottery ticket or two at lower levels?
  11. MLB - Making their product more difficult to watch since 1939.
  12. There must be a mistake in the box score. Are you telling me Gomes has TWO triples??? And here I almost placed that prop bet before the game
  13. On one hand, his in-game contributions are probably very minimal anyway. On the other hand, who in the world wants to hear an extended, in depth interview with the hitting coach while there is a game going on?
  14. Can someone explain how the whole NHL draft/contract process works? What happens when a player goes to college, or plays for another organization after being drafted? Is there a difference in signing a player to an NHL contract versus an AHL contract? In the case where a player goes to college, does the drafting team maintain that players' rights for a certain amount of time? I guess I was naive to the ways of hockey, but until recently I always thoughts guys just went from the draft to AHL to NHL.
  15. Perhaps the Nationals are impressed by what they've seen out of Miles Mastrobuoni.
  16. I thought that bouncer was going to be an infield single. Then I realized it was Mancini running and he was thrown out by 7 steps.
  17. Only if it's two in person and two remote, and with an audio delay on the remote connections.
  18. You will be assimilated. Resistance is futile.
  19. But what if... hear me out on this one... they pick a random fan out of the stands to be the third man in the booth each game? Just a little something to completely throw off the rhythm of each night's broadcast.
  20. Brock bought the competition?
  21. This isn't happening anytime soon.
