Watching this Cubs team seemingly short on bullpen arms every game begs the question, how did teams ever survive a season with 11-12 man pitching staffs? This is a 14 MAN staff right now and it feels like everyone is perpetually overused.
I can't take all the talking from Sutcliffe. He truly NEVER shuts up. Pat doesn't even need to be there. He might as well head back over to the radio booth.
Oh, definitely not judging on one start. He has been getting by on some RISP magic a lot recently. Still getting the job done, but I don't think it is sustainable.
I think this is closer to the "real" Assad. The pixie dust is bound to wear off at some point. He has done a good job as rotation depth, but I don't trust him as anything more than that
