    22/6/10 on 12 shots for Coby. Not bad. I like that nobody had more than 12 shots and 5 guys had between 9-12. 29 assists on 40 made baskets. Need to keep sharing the ball, playing defense, and getting transition buckets (25-10 fast break)

    Yeah, just go pay for Snell, Montgomery, or Yamamoto. Glasnow would be nice as you don’t have to commit multiple years to a pitcher to get high end talent, but I think our prospects will be of better use to acquire a bat or a multi-year cost controlled pitcher (Clase).

    Glasnow had more bWAR and fWAR than Stroman last year and is obviously a much better pitcher when healthy. I believe the hope is Hoskins, PCA can about match Bellis production combined with what we got out of Mancini, Hosmer, Mervis last year. I’d feel much better if Hoskins was the 2nd best bat we got this offseason, but I can understand a long term plan without one.

    How does the BlueJay’s equivalent of David Kaplan have a source confirming that the Cubs made an offer, and that it’s down to Jays and Dodgers? No chance. Still probably 60/30/10 Dodgers/Cubs/other if I had to make an incredibly uninformed guess.

    I could understand the math behind trading Nico for a young, cost controlled SP or 3B, and then moving Morel into 2b. But it won’t happen, and I wouldn’t do it.

    And their strength of schedule is pretty bad so they will likely have the tiebreaker over many of the other terrible teams.

    Candy and Stroman were terrible decisions. They were both struggling prior to injury and then we just throw them back out there with no rehab in the middle of a must win series?

    Pretty much this. The only thing still giving the Cubs hope, is that the Marlins are terrible too.

    I hate that they allowed Stroman to make starts down the stretch in place of Assad. What an all around choke job from the players, to the GM, and of course, the manager.

    Yeah, he’s been very very bad. He’s definitely trying to do too much. But I’m not worried about that part of his game long term.
